Good changes made to rides?

I am honestly curious as to what you guys think. Have there been changes made to rides that have ultimately improved the ride? I have trouble seeing good changes in some rides OR some decisions that were made for change.

My own list:
Horizons --> gone
JII --> change completely
X-S Tech (Don't get me started)

And so on.

Have there been any changes that were actually really big improvements to the rides or newly created rides within the past few years that were an improvement of the old?

All answers welcome. (But no hate please.)

Most of the enhancements made to attractions that are not tied into marketing an IP are usually welcome. with some exceptions like PLQ.

Buzz Lightyear from Take Flight was an improvement. Sorry but it was very dated before and needed some serious help.

The Alien Encounter version blew any others away Pity Stitch had to come in and spoil the fun.

While I absolutely LOVED the World of Motion, Test Track is better. I even like the current one over the last version *eep*

I think The Seas with Nemo and Friends was a nice change from The Living Seas. While the ride itself isn't really spectacular, it has a few different dimensions other than screens (jellyfish, EAC), and when it meets the aquarium and "Big Blue World" plays, it's fascinating.

I love that part! _Side note my DW, DS, and I were the first to ride one day and he had on a nemo shirt, the kind with the hood/fin and all the cast members were so excited that Nemo was here and they could start the ride. One even gave him a little orange plastic fish!

STII
RR has gotten better over time (scene through Splash in particular)
Mermaid, but the enhancements came so soon it might be considered fine-tuning
Some prefer SSE 94 over pre-94
ToT went from 1 to 4 drop profiles
What is STII and RR? (Can't think of what those stand for at the moment)

When they shortened the Country Bear Jamboree they actually improved a lot of the animation programs on the figures to add some subtle little jokes here and there. Watch the mounted deer and buffalo heads when they sing the 'tamed him a bar' line in the "Ballad of Davey Crockett."

Mansion's digital audio upgrade was a big improvement, especially in the Stretching Room.

I like in the updated Fantasmic how John Smith and Pocahontas actually kiss each other on the mist screens. Before, they just leaned towards each other, ready to kiss, but their lips never made it before the other princesses come on.

The Skull rockwork in PotC was a nice change. Subtle. Every other change in that attraction has managed to downgrade it to a C-ticket in my eyes. (I honestly tried not complaining. But it just spews forth from mind to the keyboard)

Test Track to Tron Track was a plus IMO. Good Change. Although if they're going to go 3/4th TRON... might as well go all in.

I'll 2nd the stretching room audio upgrade. Nice upgrade there.

I love the addition of Captain Jack Sparrow to PotC. The ride that influenced a series of movies that influenced a ride. I will even enjoy the new changes, but I'll leave that for the other thread so people can hate me for it. The changes to Everest also made it better in a way. Disco Yeti is much better than Yeti taking down the whole mountain and wiping out Asia.

I like the Three Caballeros figures at the Gran Fiesta Tour. That's a nice little plus. My whole family noticed when they were added, so that's a cool thing.

I'm sad I can't think of more examples, though. :cry:

They added rainbow lighting in the finale of the current version of Imagination relatively recently. I remember, because I was so shocked that they were able to get any kind of budget for improvements for that ride.
