Out of our entire collection, over the past 20 years we’ve gotten the best bang for our buck out of Bohnanza. Beloved especially for its high degree of interactivity. Even when it’s not your turn, you’re likely to be involved in the play.

Never in a million years did I expect to see this game mentioned here. A hearty second from me -- this has been a staple at family weddings, etc. over the last 20 years for us. Everyone always wants to play "the bean game." And if you dig it, it's endlessly expandable, in mostly meaningful ways that change the game experience.

I should add that if you're a family with younger kids, I'd recommend trying My First Bohnanza to help them learn how to play. The box says 4+, but I'd lean more toward 5 or 6, depending on your child's ability.
