Good B-Day Dining for Teens?

Hi. Our family is going to WDW this Sunday.
We don't have reservations, so what is a good place to eat that we could possibly still get reservations for?

When we went in February we made last minute reservations for my cousins birthday at Rainforest Cafe, at Animal Kingdom. But it was for breakfast not dinner or lunch.

If you want to embarass a teenager I would go to 50s Prime Time Cafe, if you can get in. When my brother was about 17 our waitress, "the big sister", was absolutely horrible to him. It was hilarious.:ROFLOL:

And we usually just walk into Rose and Crown right when it opens and always get a seat.

The only thing might be the time of year. We do go during peak times, school breaks, but the summer might be alot more crowded. I've never been during the summer.

Good luck.:)

teen age?

Hey Skellingtons--

You mentioned "Teens." Can you clarify? Obviously you know the kids in your party better than anyone here, but I know there can be a big difference between my 13-year olds and my 17-year old. And yet we're all Disney fans.

They all still can enjoy the character dinner at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary. We last visited with a group of 12 or so youth and leaders. It was early last August, and in the end we didn't need reservations. Somehow we got there during a seating change and got in with only a short wait. Go figure!

Since then we've discussed how the food may not have been the best, but it is a character dinner and the dessert bar is very cool.

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort has good (turkey & beef) burgers and lots of ice cream. I dare you to try the Kitchen Sink! lol But go early or late--otherwise there will be a wait.

I think in the end it's up to you and your teens. How finicky are they? How much pain...er, I mean...embarrassment are you willing to inflict? The Garden Grill Restaurant is nice; are you able to sit and converse over a meal with your teens? Theme, embarrassment, in or out of the parks...there's so many choices!
