Going on December 28th - need advices

Hello!

My family and I are going to Disney World on Sunday, December 28th. I bought 6 one-day tickets with the park hopper option. Here's the plan:

Epcot from 8am to 2-3pm.
Magic Kingdom from 2-3pm until 1am.

I have booked Fastpasses for Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain from 5:20pm to 9:00pm.I also have luck and managed to book a dining reservation to the Liberty Tree Tavern at 4:20pm.
My questions are:
May the park be closed when we will hop to Magic Kingdom? I learned about the phases, and since we have park hopper is it better for us...
What's the best way to go From Epcot to Magic Kingdom? The monorail? Buses? Car?
Since the park closes at 1am, I supposed the families are starting to leave after the fireworks? So, around 11pm, will it get less crazy? We went a couple of years ago on December 31st, so I know what were up to.

Thanks for your advices and comments!

Fastpass+ reservations are not enough to grant you into the park if they have begun phase closings. If you are staying on property you'll have a better chance since you have more flexibility with the parks as they close. My suggestion is that you do MK in the morning and then head to Epcot. Epcot closes FAR less frequently for phase closings than MK does.

Just come and be patient, it's going to be crowded and there are lots of lines but if you know what to expect you'll enjoy yourself.

Firstly - Welcome aboard

On the face of it your planning is good - you have an early start in EPCOT which will allow you ride some of the attractions before it gets too busy. Then you have FP+ booked for MK and an ADR.

The bad news - you haven't said anything to the contrary so I'm assuming that you're not staying in a Disney Resort. Holders of Day Tickets are amongst the first to be turned away if the park reaches capacity. It matters not that you have Park Hoppers or FP+, if its full, its full. That said, this being the season of goodwill to ALL men (and women) you may get a bit of sympathy.

The best way to travel to MK from EPCOT depends on how you get to EPCOT. If you are staying offsite then the last thing you want to be doing at 1am is trekking back to EPCOT to find your car. I'd drop the party off at EPCOT first thing, send the driver and the car to the MK parking lot with the car, park up and then hop on the monorail back to EPCOT to meet up with the rest of you in the park. At 1am when you leave MK, the car is just a short car park tram ride away

I wish you luck

Phases 1-3 do actually allow for entry of guests with dining reservations, according to the definitions on this site. Only when closed to absolutely everyone does the reservation not merit entry.

Thanks for your answers! By checking the closing phases on wdwmagic website, I saw that only the phase 4 closing may affect us, since we have a dining reservation. Do anyone have experienced it or are sure of it?

I have no experience with closings during the Holidays, we have been that week, twice, but that was years ago. It is very crowded but very fun and I have many great memories of family time. I simply just wanted to say have a great vacation! Slowing down due to crowds can be the best, soak it all in!
