WOW! They really looked good last night. My picks for this year's Super Bowl, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, both took it on the chin this Sunday, but it's only one game and they were both playing on the road.

Anyone else got any predictions for the upcoming season?

Hmmm...I'd have to say...Phili-Pats will be one of the best games this year.

Pats looked pretty good.

I wish I had money. I could have cleaned up making some bets. The Steelers were favored by 3 or 3.5.

Yes they were...and I'm telling you...the Pats, TO THIS DAY...STILL do not get any credit. You still here, "It was a fluke, it was a bad call" GRRRRRR How come they don't say that about the Rams??? How come they don't say that about Pittsburgh???

Pittsburgh went into that game last night saying that the wrong team won last year...well...I guess the wrong team won last night too...and I guess the wrong team DESTROYED the right team last night...YEAH RIGHT...

The Patriots have a UNITY about them...they are a TEAM...granted, there are some shining players...but EVERYONE gives it their all and EVERYONE backs EVERYONE else up. There was a play last night where Willie McGinest caused a fumble...and instead of jumping on the ball...he blocked a guy so that another teammate could grab it...That is teamwork! Tom Brady going out and throwing blocks for a running back...THAT is teamwork.
You have to respect this team...and that's EXACTLY what they are...a TEAM.

I love the steelers, they are probably my second favorite team in the NFL, why, I mean, THE BUS NEVER shows up against the Pats(the pats expose him for what he really is, an overweight bum who can only run against the bengals), that so-called AWESOME defense never does anything!!!!! KORDELL??????? WHO?

NICE PREDICTIONS FOR AFC CHAMPIONS ESPN!!!!! TRY AGAIN IDIOTS!!!!!!

PATS REPEAT!

I'm going with the Terry Glenn Bowl, Patriots over Packers in the Super Bowl this year!

The Packers? The Packers? Are you kidding me? The Packers? (notice the Jim Mora spin-off?)

The Packers beat an average team in the Falcons with 1 MAJOR player in Vick (I don't think he has much of anyone to work with).
Although they may be one of the better teams in the NFC because no one really impressed me in the NFC in Week 1.

RELAX??? Hello...(I am from BOSTON)...give me a break a little bit :) (It's not too often one of our teams goes all the way :) )

Ya know...besides the red sox...oh yeah...DOH!
and then the Celtics...(so close...)
and then the Bruins...(don't get me started)

But...there is a silver lining among them...the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS! "The team of DESTINY" "The team that was NOT supposed to win" "THE FLUKE"

(Let me bask in the glow :) )

And, they are off to a STRONG start!
The redskins (in the first 3 preseason games...scored 35 points PER GAME...and the Pats were the only ones to shut them down...) Then steps up Pittsburgh...who says they were "cheated" last year...the team that had their hotel and plane tickets booked for the SuperBowl even BEFORE they played the Pats...where did they go???

LOL that the Rams are 0-2!!!

I'd go along with that...I'd still like to see Phili there though...but New Orleans really impressed me today.

Faulk had 14 carries today for 87 yards, or 6.2 yds per carry. He only had 10 carries last week. The only person that has figured out how to take Faulk out of a game is Mike Martz. Your workhorse back should get 20-25 carries a game, but Martz does'nt use him like that for some reason. In Super Bowl XXXVI, the Pats rushed 4 and dropped 6 or 7 in coverage the whole game, so instead of running Faulk, Martz let Warner try to win the game and they turned the ball over. Warner threw 2 more interceptions today. The offensive line did'nt play real well and neither did the defense, so they got behind 17-0. It's not all Faulk's fault.

BTW, the Pats look VERY good so far. Meanwhile, it's getting ugly in Pittsburgh. And how 'bout dem Saint's...

Cheers:wave:

I didn't get to see the Saints game (although I saw the highlights...and they look like they would be a real tough adversary for the Pats)

How about Bledsoe huh??? WOW. (but you can still see the "old" Bledsoe in him...he doesn't MOVE!) Brady on the other hand...his arm might not be as dead on accurate as Bledsoe's but...he is an ALL AROUND QB. NOBODY FAKES better than Brady...he is probably the most interesting quarterback to watch on that field. (and that has a lot to do with the play calling) but Brady executes those plays so well.

But, I will always hold high respect for Drew. I liked him as a quarterback (other than that one flaw). I've met him a few times and I must honestly say...not only is he a great guy on the field...but he's a great guy off the field as well. And the way that he handled himself last year was top notch. Good Luck Drew! (just get in our way :) )
