My sources say "yes"...

But you know how this kind of stuff goes.

(Huh...just like WDW rumors!)

Cool! I might just have to test-drive one (though I probably won't trade my car in . . . but who knows).

gotta give the edge to the Sky, its got that futuristic Opel Speedster thing going for it

Yeah, it looks very similar to the Vauxhall Lightning concept from a while back:

I actually think it's one of the rare cases in which the production version looks a little better than the concept. I thought the edges in the concept were a bit overdone, but the Sky looks cleaner.

One thing I'm worrying about is trunk space. From what I've heard, the roof takes up a lot of the available trunk space. I thought my trunk (Z4) had plenty of room (no spare saves some space, and the big butt allows for some junk in the trunk), but I had it crammed just for a trip to Disney World. If there was much less space, I would have been in trouble (in fact, I couldn't put the top down until I dropped off my bags - there's a shelf that you can lift up to make more space when the roof is up).

i love mine to much right now to do anything. i have the 98 model with the tire on the back and not underneath. rare, only seen one other in bham. pretty loaded except leather.

did you have any trouble with yours, electrical, engine, etc etc?

the engine and electrical were all sound, but the transmission was just short of dead, and it pulled majorly to the right.

well, that makes me feel better, i cant seem to get that damn thing to align correctly. it pulls to the right as well. oh well, at least i have 31x10.50 with the tread 2 inches deep so the "uneven wear" wont matter for awhile.

everything else ok, i have some quarky things sometimes, but nothing to sweat over.

oh yeh, it seems that everytime i take it in for an oil change or work done on it, it seems like they find the "seal" has dry rotted. ok, can we find some quality rubber here please!!!!

Thats because of how you drive, not the structural stability of the Vehicle....

no... the manual transmission Montero Sports have a history of clutch/transmission problems. The suspension issues were due to my car accident in 2002, when I got hit from behind. It was never properly repaired. All my driving style caused was horrid gas mileage and a lot of engine wear. Yet the engine was fine.

ok, i swear last question about your monty, but it seems weird that mine (98 model, 90K) burns that crap out of some oil. i put 2 quarts in between oil changes, but i go 4,500 miles between changes.

did your burn oil like crazy.

And you driving down the median strips of I4 at 70 miles and hour and over curbs left and right had nothign to do with the monty pulling to the right? Oh please....

It didn't begin pulling to the right until after the accident, so nice try Dave. It probably didn't make the situation better, but having driven that car before and after the accident, I know there was a massive difference before and after.

And for Carfax, I don't trust it one bit, you shouldn't either. I know the damage to the Monty, yet it showed it as a clean vehicle on Carfax. I was honest and told the buyer about the accident/damage.

Well, your opinion is wrong. The 05 = more HP, safer, more options, better 0-60 and 1/4, etc etc. Just because it is a classic doesn't mean its better. The classic stangs are great, but performance, and otherwise, other than nostalgia, don't hold a candle to the 05.
