I am in the early stages of planning a trip to WDW in June with my DH, DS5 and my mom. My dad died earlier this month and she really wants the 4 of us to take a trip. The problem is she has celiac's and is very nervous about dining on the trip, especially counter service. The last time she was at WDW was before she was diagnosed with Celiac's. She's not too worried about table service, but we're only planning about one TS per day. Does any heve any suggestions for counter-service and snacks. We will be using the DDP.

I can't say off hand which restaurants are the best is you are looking Gluten Free...but if you go to a counter serve and just ask a chef there, they will point you in the right direction (or to another restaurant that can help you better).

WDW Gluten Free

In December 2005 8 days before our trip I was diagnosed with Celiac a small bit of research on the internet during that time period I found out that it should be no problem, well we found it to be very Food Allergy Friendly and WDW is the only place we will vacation at least for long periods of time. They have even gotten better as far as I am concerned with their products they offer. Here is a website you can get more information about food allergies. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/common/guestServicesDetail?id=GuestServicesSpecialDietaryDetailPage

Also you can email WDW.MK.Special.Diets@disney.com and they will send you some information, they send a form and lots of other information, tell them your problem and they can help. Also it's important when you make your ADR's to let them know of the Food Allergy. The CM's are very helpful with this stuff. At table service locations the chef will come to your table and talk to you about the options for your allergy.

Good Luck!

Joe
