Giving it up to the Refurb at the BCV's

Having just got home from WDWBCV's I have to give them their CUDO'S to a job well done, as far as we are concerned. After some serious confusion over our timely DVC reservation we were assigned one of the refurbed two bedrooms over looking the quiet pool as requested. It was nice to walk into this new 2 bedroom and I will give you our take on it pro and con. PRO: wood floors, new appliances, new carpeting, excellent bedding, The best in my opinion the bathroom ! Super nice shower with a real size entry door (thank you ) non slippery floor tile (again thank you) larger shower head and plenty of HOT water. Room colors I know will be debatable but that doesn't really concern us, they are muted and earth tone as opposed to the "Beachy" colors they once were, also now there is a deep soaking tub rather then the whirlpool. Huge HDTV's absolutely INCREDIBLE ! CON: Gone is the ceiling bedroom fan (sadly missed) incredibly super loud washer !!!!! (you will swear that it will take OFF !) The BIGGEST issue I believe there is the A/C, we had a total of 4 rooms; 1-2Bdrm, 2-Studios the A/C worked properly in only 2 of these rooms. It was brutal after surviving high 90's feeling like 100+something heat at the parks all you want is a good nights rest and not to wake up mid way to a muggy warm room and you can't get the temp down. Several calls to maintenance were made and several response made but it would appear that you require a A/C specialist for none of the technicians that were sent stated that they had no knowledge as to how to make the fix. In one room even the control panel was changed and that still didn't work. It appears to me with Disney's approach to go GREEN (which I applaud) your nights rest will be a warm one. It looks like they went back to those old motion detector monitors for the A/C and that's why the ceiling fans are GREATLY MISSED ! I hope that they can rethink this they will still be green. Overall the refurbishment is nice we think and has begun to live up to a "RESORT" feel, some tweaks could be considered as the return of ceiling fans, the A/C control given back to their visitors and some additional clothes hooks would also be nice. My most fondest THANKS to Eden at DVC membership for making this the BEST visit we ever had
Thank you.

Glad you had a great stay. We are going with a large group after thanksgiving. We are very anxious to see the new rooms. I think their A/C policy is ridiculous bordering on pathetic.
