Gift Card Won't Transfer (AKA Another Gift Card Post)

I am more than familiar with the Disney Gift Card site. The issue that I'm coming across right now is I have an electronic card that will not transfer to any of my physical cards. Does anyone know if they allow you to "add value" to a gift card from another gift card at the register?

I got the E-card from Target, which transferring hasn't been an issue in the past, but curious if anyone else has gotten one lately and had issues? I'd like to confirm it's still working if I buy another one. I suspect maybe it's not this time b/c I did use the e-card number to buy something on Shop Disney before trying to transfer it (it was 4am it was way easier to just get it and use that number than to load it, transfer it, & get out of bed to get the physical card for the number)

I prefer using a physical card, but if need be, I guess I'll print the barcode of the e-one on photo paper or card stock so it's a little more sturdy. I also have a screenshot of it, but don't usually use my phone to pay for things (the only time I've ever used the google wallet 2x)

I've only ever had issues transferring 1 other time, I forget what it was though; it was possibly trying to transfer from the little wrist card (from a festival) onto a regular rectangular one... but the little wrist one is my regular go to, so it wasn't a big deal I couldn't move the little over to my mom's card.

Weird……I haven’t had one from Target recently, but I had one from Sam’s. I was able to put the number in my disney gift card account and dump it onto a physical card. does it show up at all when you try to add the card?

Yep, it comes up, I select it, tell it to keep it (I then delete it JIC) and get this (full card number redacted):

Attention

Card **************** could not be transferred.
Please try again later.

I've tried from PC, and mobile on different days in case it was a glitch, but it seems it just doesn't like it

I transferred an ecard from target to a physical card yesterday without a problem. Maybe, like you said, it is because you used some of it?
Is there a limit as to how much money can be put on a card?

@Darstarr Thanks! Yeah the limit is $1000 but I'm only moving 300something to a card with $15 (or tried to a $0 too); so yeah it probably is b/c I used it first. Good to know they didn't change it though, so my future ones I know to just move them first!
