So from the original opening...Nickelodeon Studios, Ghost Busters, King Kong, Earthquake, Back to The Future (Even though I don't remember this being there when if first opened) and Hanna Barbera ride have all gone the way of the Coo Coo...wasn't there a Beatle Juice show as well?
Beetlejuice's Graveyard Review is still open, though it has been revamped at tad.

But you also forgot The Hitchcock Experience, Wild Wild West Stunt Show and the Tram Tour are all gone as well.

And Murder She Wrote, Herc & Xena, and that Be on TV thing by Kong.

BTW SS21 is where TNA Wrestling is, it's right behind "SS18" which is now Blu Man. ScreamHouse was in SS20 which is closest to IOA.

Universal likes to take properties that they think is failing and replace them with something else.

Ghostbusters, King Kong and Bttf:TR are perfect examples.

Ghostbusters was removed soemtime in 1997. That same year, Extreme Ghostbusters was being released on TV. It didn't fair too well (40 eps, 1 season) but it was on and sparked a looooooooooong seris of rumors which eventually lead the the video game that is coming out in october of this year.

King Kong faired just as well and was closed not long after they said they were going to make a new movie, to be replaced with a movie seris that ended in 2001 and took 7 years to get another sequeal out. (i like the spacing but still...)

Finally, Back to the Future. The movie, car and characters are iconic. Replaced by a cartoon series that many believe, including the fans, has gone the wayside and just isn't as good as it once was. Sure the characters are just as Iconic, but I think a regular 3-D movie would have been fine. Or put the show in the Jimmy Neutron ride. BttF may not be doing anything movie or cartoon series wise but hey, who DOESN'T recognise the DeLorean? ;)

Ironically, I've been on Twister but not The Mummy or Simpsons rides. I just don't enjoy Universal like I used to. 'Bout the only good rides they have left are Spider-Mana nd Men In Black.

Wow, that's a lot of shows!

I remember Pete and Pete, some of that show was filmed here in NJ I've been told. The younger Pete lives, or lived, in NJ. Friends of mine have seen him around.

Nick Arcade was filmed in FL? How long was that show on for? I remember it being around in the 80's when I was just a kid. Great show.

Green Lantern, The younger Pete (played by Danny "I DON'T KNOW!!" Tamberelli) still lives in NJ, and he's now the bassist of a band called Jounce.

As for Nick Arcade, the show premiered in 1991, which was around the same time that the Neo-Geo AES home console was released at the same time (but getting the Neo-Geo AES at that time was a task that was easier said than done, since it's original price tag was $599 which is the same price that the 80GB PS3 debuted with in 2006)

Thanks for the Pete info, Figment.

I remember an arcade game in the 80's from when I was a kid. Nickelodeon ran it but maybe they didn't create it. It was when the channel was still knew. HMMM, or else I am making it up.

wait, if i remember well. i remember seeing some thing about your arcade game description, but it wasn't on Nick Arcade though. thing was that as a way of showing the audience the subject of a hidden camera prank involving a "talking arcade game" on What Would You Do, they showed the "talking cabinet" which was a standard cabinet featuring Capcom's Final Fight. even after seeing that several years ago, i still remember that episode where Marc Summers chose a kid in the audience to play Final Fight, and i think he used Haggar (the strongest protagonist in FF)

Dynamite Nights Stunt Spectacular?

It opened with the park in 1990 and, if I remember correctly, closed in 1998. It was an awesome show, and the sets for it are still in place.
