I can't tell from the pictures whether they've started the 'chocolate' tower or whatever its going to be, but it doesn't look like it.

Are they adding seating and will it be enclosed?

*Ahem* According to my source, Disney wanted to open today. The problem is, though, the contractor/architect has told my source that they would be lucky to be open by the 28th (i reported this in the last thread). Also, it wasn't smart to open on the end of the week-no revenue to be gained. I'll find out from my source tomorrow morning if he knows anything more.

UPDATE:

Ok, my source wasn't in bed yet so I was able to gleam some info from him: They should be open Monday Night or Tuesday morning but NO LATER than Tuesday. They should be able by then.

Any idea what is being done? There seems to be no external signs of any changes what-so-ever. This location really needs a Wolfgang Puck style makeover interms of seating capacity.

All I know for sure is what he's told me:

-Changes to the queue to allow better guest flow.
-More decorations ie. chocolate tower, periscopes with live feeds/trivia/etc, moving the condiment stand to the water fountain to make it more counter-ish with a sink (i believe), in the old stands place will be piping whith "flowing chocolate" (not real of course) with pressure gauges and the like.
-Extra faountains to handle the flow of guests as well.

It's more decorational and...operational than say "more tables and chairs" to which, technically, they have the inside seating and two outside seating arrangments not to mention the countless benches and such placed all over DTD for guests to enjoy their ice cream and such. The restaurant just isn't made to have more chairs and table sinside (and the times i've visited my source there have been those few occasions where it was hard to navigate through due tot he amount of people and such).

I was just by there and the rehab wall had been pushed closer to the building, the store was open, but the Cafe was still behind walls.

That all sounds really cool...can't wait to see it! Thanks for keeping us in the know.
