Hi. I read a review of this restaurant on another site and the poster said that the dining plan is not accepted here (it was posted two days ago). However, I noticed that it was listed in the 2018 brochure and on the WDW website that it was a quick service location. I chatted with a CM online and they said the DDP should be accepted, but we know how inaccurate they can be at times. Anyone been there recently can confirm or deny if the dining plan is accepted? Thanks.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think if you actually walk up to the quick service counter, then you can use a QS credit. If you are seated and getting waited on, you can't.

Geyser Point counter service is listed as a QS dining plan location. The Disney site also says they accept other Disney dining plans as well.

However, the brochure does NOT list Geyser Point for table service meals. Confusing? Yes.

Hmm, it's listed as a QS dining location. Why would it be listed for table service meals? It is not a TS dining location.

It accepts all plans, because both the QS and regular plans have QS credits. Deluxe plans you can use anywhere.

This is the review that I saw and that is why I questioned it:

"Food was good, but........
The sandwiches we had were very good, but our experience was less than what I would have expected from Disney. We arrived at the resort in the evening and headed to Geyser Point to get something to eat. When we approached the hostess, we were told that they did not accept the dining plan. So we were able to get food, but couldn't eat in the nice, well lit lounge/dining area. I was escorting family members on their first ever trip to Disney and at their very first meal, we had to eat at a table, away from the dining area,,,,,in the dark, next to an unoccupied building with a noisy ventilation fan. When I look on the Disney site, it clearly lists that they accept the 2018 dining plan at this restaurant. There should be some kind of clarification so this doesn't happen to someone else. This lack of clarity brought this review from a solid "5" for the meal to a generous "3"."

I would have challenged information given by the hostess. Of course Disney has the “change without notice” clause written into Dining Plans the DDP info does list the restaurant. The poster may have challenged the information and gone up the chain and still been given the same info though. Hopefully we will get a definitive answer.

The thing about GP is that the QS window is separate from the Bar area. Accessing the bar area means going to a podium to be seated. It may be that the QS "to-go" window does accept the dining plan while the bar does not. I don't know for sure, because when we went to the bar we paid for our food and drinks OOP.

My family ate there last Dec (2017) and used the DDP after being seated.(for both lunch and dinners) The server took our order and delivered our meals with no questions asked. We did use the quick service counter for breakfast and used the snacks points for breakfast.

Bumping an old thread but I was wondering if you can use a quick service dining credit for a meal and alcoholic drink and sit in the pavilion? I have read reports where people are saying if you want to use a dining plan QS credit you can only do so at the take out window with the selections offered there, and then you cannot sit down. And if you wanted to be sat in the "restaurant/building" and have them take you order there you cannot use your credits anymore.

I think so? I read a lot of reviews online (maybe outdated I guess) that said you could be sat by the hostess in the "restaurant" and order off the menu brought to you, and both food and drinks were covered under the QS dining plan. Or you could order from the take out window (limited selection of food items and drinks) and bring your food to the "restaurant" area and sit there to eat. Now I am reading on more current forums that they will only allow you to use the QS dining plan credits at the takeout window (which limits the selections of food and drinks) and cannot take the food inside the "restaurant" seating area anymore. And if you do choose to wait and be sat inside the restaurant/bar area you cannot use you QS dining credits. We had planned on going here as a break from the park and have a sit down QS meal, and was excited about the cocktail selection that we could use for our drink selection. But from what I am seeing reported now, that will no longer be an option. Just wanted to see if that was the case.
