Getting to Trail's End

Hello everyone! My family and I are headed to Trail's End on September 20th, and need to get to the Settlement Depot. We will be taking a bus from DHS to get there. Will the bus take us to all the depots? Because I know that Fort Wilderness has internal buses in the resort that transport guests to different areas of the resort. Will we have to take one of the internal buses to get to Trail's End, or will the normal Disney Transport bus take us to the Settlement Depot? Thanks!

From my understanding you will have to depart and take a internal bus to Trail's End (do not quote me though). I am in a similar situation I have a ADR for Trail's End at 7 but want to go to Epcot for Illuminations afterwards.

You WILL have to take an internal bus UNLESS you go to Fort Wilderness by boat, either by going to MK first or by driving to Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge. They have boats to take you to FW. That boat dock is only a few minutes away from Trails' End.

Not Impossible but you'd have to eat relatively fast (within an hour if they seat you on time) and get lucky with the timing of buses or at least DON'T get UNlucky, an internal shuttle to take you to the bus stop at FW and transfer to Epcot. Or the shuttle bus that goes to Wilderness Lodge band use THEIR bus stop. Or boat to WL or CR and transfer there. In any event you will be cutting it close and not getting much time to explore or enjoy FW. If you really want to go to Epcot that night I suggest trying for earlier reservations.

Good points - I was just working on my itinerary. I may forgo EPCOT that evening (as I have another night planned for WS). Right now, I am planned to either take the boat back to MK and stay there until closing or internal shuttle to HS for Fantasmic at 1030. Do you think I can keep my 7pm ADR at Trails End and make it to Fantasmic by 10pm?

Certainly more doable than Epcot by 9. :D Only fly in the ointment there would be if the stadium filled up ridiculously early. I think you would have a less hectic evening if you finish at MK though. Especially if you're totally reliant on WDW transportation. Instead of internal shuttle to FW bus stop and long bus ride to DHS, a short boat to MK. Boom. Done. Have fun.

That is what I was thinking. I am also thinking that because Trails End is buffet I am going to be stuffed and would rather just get to MK and enjoy the rides and shows vs wasting a lot of time traveling. Plus I will be able to check out wishes which seems to be the only night I may catch it.

Seems like you just answered your own question, Grasshopper.
