Getting to the resorts

My wife and I got a great rate for a direct flight to Orlando, the downside: we are flying into Orlando/Sanford Airport, I know that it's about 40 miles from WDW, can anyone tell me the best way to get WDW from here, Id perfer not to rent a car, but if cab fare or towncar service from this distance is crazy expensive then I may not have anyother choice. Any advice?

We flew into Orlando/Sanford Airport a few years ago and rented a car. We weren't crazy about driving but it turned out to be fine. If you can't find anything more affordable or convenient don't be afraid to drive. If we can do it so can you.

We had used Happy Limo several times before DME went into service. In October, our arriving flight was into MCO, but we returned out of SAN. The one-way fare for a town car was $85 plus tolls, which totaled $99. Gratuity is additional. Their round-trip fare from SAN to the Disney resorts is $160 plus. I can highly recommend their service if you decide not to rent a car.

Good luck and have a wonderful vacation.

Quicksilver towncars offers service from Sanford. Their rates according to their website is $120 one way and $210 roundtrip to all WDW resorts from Sanford. That includes the cost of all the tolls and any gate fees that may be required depending on which resort you're staying at. Here's their website http://www.quicksilver-tours.com/

If you end up renting a car (not sure if they have Dollar at this airport - they do at MCO), you can get a really great rate (low as $20 a day) with promo code KISSE.

After reading some of the answers you now know why you got such a good rate. It's not even real easy renting car there. I would suggest calling a limo service or if you booked through a travel agent they may have a company that they work with that gives them very good rates, I know I do and I'm sure KK does also....
