Getting to Harry Potter Land from Mouse World.

I've been to WDW many times. This is the first trip where I will be staying "off property" (Best Western Lake Buena Vista) by Disney Springs.

This will also be the first year that I venture beyond the realm of WDW and into the uncharted lands of Universal Studios.
I have been looking for a van or bus that would ferry me between my hotel and Universal, but have yet to find one.

I know Mears Transportation will pick me up, but they want to do it in a car that would cost me about $50 each way.

Does anyone know of a van or bus service that could pick me up at or nearby my hotel (like Disney Springs for example) and ferry me between the two locations?

If not, I guess I would be stuck with an uber.

Thanks folks!

I found an all in one price sight which included a ride and park tickets. It may have been expensive but I didn't want to deal with all the hassle.

I was disappointed with UNIV. If you want to see all of HP you have to buy a ticket for both parks. We would have done that anyway but it just seemed a little crooked to me (please no "WDW does that too" comments just making MY point from MY perspective. BTW Disney offers PH). One day two people was over $300.00. Don't get me wrong a lot of the rides were fun but UNIV just was not up to WDW standards (again my point of view). You may find it to be the same, you may not. The park closed at 7:00 so we didn't get to do all we wanted in one day.

But....Universal has a park hopper ticket, too, and it's cheaper than Disney's. I get it that it's not worth it for you, but I'm confused...did you not get the park to park ticket? Did you get 2 separate day tickets and use them on the same day? The park to park is $170 for one day, where Disney's is $185. $195 during peak season, so Universal's is actually cheaper...you don't need separate tickets for each park. You get the park to park (Universal's version of park hopper) and then you can actually take the Hogwarts express between the two. That's too bad it closed so early when you were there! What time of year was it? I know when we were there it was open till at least 9, but that was before the 2nd half of WWoHP was built, and it was in peak season, so the hours may have been later. It would certainly be hard to see everything in one day, even WITH the park-to-park tickets! The lines are so long!!

Yes I got the park to park tickets Two people. I have never gotten single day tickets at Disney so I really didn't know. But that wasn't my point. It was the fact if you wanted to see the entire HP you have to go to both parks. We went in October and the lines were not that bad.

Having DONE this....
Just call MEARS - take a CAB. The shuttles do not show up. And the price is competitive.
All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

Ah, that makes more sense then. I thought you were upset that you had to pay over $300 for 1 day for 2 people, so I didn't understand your comparison and Disney coming out better than Universal in terms of value. When we went, it was SUPER busy...the first part of WWoHP had only been open for a month and it was so busy that we couldn't even get into that part of the park 30 minutes after rope drop...they were already at capacity and we could either stand there and wait for 3-4 hours for people to leave so we could enter, OR we could come back around 3 or 4 in the afternoon when people started to die down a bit. It was definitely not worth the ticket price then if all you wanted to see was HP stuff. I haven't been there since they opened up the new part in the other park, but I hope it won't be that bad when I DO get there again. But we plan to go for probably 4 days, so it will be cheaper per day, and we'll have more time to see all things HP and even some things non-HP. But we will stay on property there rather than shuttling in for just a day here and there. I guess it just depends on how much you are invested in what they have to offer.
