Getting to Harry Potter Land from Mouse World.

I've been to WDW many times. This is the first trip where I will be staying "off property" (Best Western Lake Buena Vista) by Disney Springs.

This will also be the first year that I venture beyond the realm of WDW and into the uncharted lands of Universal Studios.
I have been looking for a van or bus that would ferry me between my hotel and Universal, but have yet to find one.

I know Mears Transportation will pick me up, but they want to do it in a car that would cost me about $50 each way.

Does anyone know of a van or bus service that could pick me up at or nearby my hotel (like Disney Springs for example) and ferry me between the two locations?

If not, I guess I would be stuck with an uber.

Thanks folks!

I just paid Mears back in 2015 but I don't remember the round trip being that much. I remember them being very timely, efficient, and easy to find. The guy who drove us one time was a hoot. He was from the Caribbean and joked that Mickey must be too judging by the way he walks. Kept repeating, "I love the Mouse, man *laughter*"

I stayed at POR & went to Universal for one day. I used Uber & I believe it was 13.00 each way. They were very quick to pick us
up each time. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The Orlando city bus (Lynx) stops at Disney Springs. Walk over to Disney Springs from the resort, take the Lynx bus for $2 per person per ride (free transfers) (or $4.50 unlimited rides per day) and take the Lynx 303. The Lynx 303 will take you directly to Universal Studios Orlando Guest Drop-Off Area located here.

That would be the cheapest option.

You can always take a Taxi, Uber, or Lyft. However those will be more expensive.

Hope this information helps!

According to the Lynx site, that route only runs once a day, in the afternoon. Not very helpful timing.

Normally there would be a transfer involved, and the trip would be 90+ minutes. Yeah, it's $2, but for $10 more you can take an Uber....

I didn't realize Lyft was that inexpensive between the two parks. I think Lyft will be my best bet!

Just plugged the addresses into the Uber app:

Obviously this is mid-day on a weekend, so just be prepared for it to be a little higher if you're trying to go during peak travel times when "surge pricing" may add 20-40%.

Also, you have the benefit of your hotel being in the corner of Disney property closest to Universal, so your ride will be shorter. (And probably down Palm Parkway, avoiding I-4 altogether)

This is not on topic but we did this last year. I wish I had known ahead of time not to take a back pack like I do at Disney. They make you put them in lockers before many of the rides and it was a pain. If I had known about this I would have just worn a pack to avoid horrible locker conjestion. Just an FYI. Enjoy Disney and Harry Potter. Both excellent in their own ways!

I thought zi read you can get them to and from airport and other destinations as well, maybe not

Just within WDW and from/to MCO (Orlando airport). It probably would be cheaper to use Uber or Lyft to go off property to destinations other than the airport if Disney ever expanded Minnie Vans beyond their current routes.

We went to UNI with my sister, a Florida resident, and were in her car. However, my wife wasn't feeling the best later that and we contacted an Uber driver to take my wife back to POFQ from Universal. Cost was $19.00. I am not that conversant with Uber to know if some have minivans or SUV's that would take a family. Overall, it was easy, though. The distance isn't that far.
