Getting stuck in rides

Many, many years ago, I once got stuck in the "powder room" in DL's Mr Toad. I had to wait there until the next car came along, bumped me, and we were both on our merry way.

My funniest "getting stuck" story happened on Dinosaur.

One afternoon after work I decided to go for a spin. At the scene with the charging carno Dr. Seeker asks what's happening. The computer responds with "Loss of traction." At that point everything went silent and pitch black and stayed that way for about five minutes.

Near the end of the ride Dr. Seeker shouts "You're not gonna make it! You're not gonna make it!" Of course the ride went quiet and dark again. Perhaps we didn't make it?

I have had to evac Test Track. Our car stopped right before the first brake test. A CM came by, pressed some switch in the back to unlock the seatbelts and we had to follow him in a straight line through the environmental chambers and into the ride exit. I also had to do a practive evac on Expedition Everest. Our train got stopped in the room with the yeti projection and we had to walk down inside the mountain.

To nowhere inpaticular? Sorry, had to say it.
Oh yeah, we got stuck in Buzz Lightyear's ride too. Right by the robot so I kept shooting at it and got extra points. :D

Do you find it fun? I do, kinda. I remember the boats in Pirates bumping into each other and getting stuck so we were stuck. Right under that hairy leg. I found it kinda funny.

It kinda freaks me out when I get stuck on the Haunted Mansion...towards the beginning of the ride when you're going down that hallway with the red lights.:D

Was stuck for a good 10-15 minutes at the top of Splash Mtn. the day after it came out of rehab this past trip! There were four other logs stuck with us. We were yelling for help. What a riot!

This didn't happen at Disney but I got stuck at the very top of Kraken. We sat there for about 30 minutes baking in the sun before they got up there. Then we got to walk the 1000 something steps down to the bottom. It was not one of my more pleasant experiences.

I got stuck on Everest for about 15 minutes at the track switch before the outdoors drop. We were sitting in the front row and saw the track switch but we didn't move. Eventually we finished the ride like nothing happened it when we got off we saw a custodial CM cleaning up vomit all over the unloading dock.

We also almost got stuck on test track in June. We loaded into the car but the seat belts wouldn't lock them all the lights came on and we were escorted out of the loading platform and given fast passes for later on.

it's generally a funny and interesting experience. getting bumped and tiny whiplashes on pirates and small world is kinda funny, especially when you're in a funny (or scary ) scene. the only time i can't say i liked it was when someone went through the ee on carousel of progress. when one went, ten other people did, ride couldn't operate for a good 20 minutes cuz people couldn't understand the repeated instructions to not leave the theater.

This isn't WDW, but I remember when I was about 7 or 8 (and honestly pretty foolish lmao) and we were riding Indiana Jones at DLR, and it was stuck at the part where Indy is hanging on the rope near the giant boulder for like 5 minutes. The indy AA was giving his whole round of short spiels, and hanging there. Of course, being the dumb kid I was, I thought it was a Cast Member that happened to look like Harison Ford, and my horrible logic of thinking was that there was a shift of CM who would dress as Indy and hang there for a few minutes at a time, and quickly change shifts/people when no cars were coming to keep the magic going, and since the ride has stopped the"CM" had to stay there to keep the magic. So of course, with my logic, I said out loud for everyone in the car to hear (and being completely dead serious too) "Wow! That CM must have REALLY strong arms!" Yeah... It was kinda awkward to have everyone in the car laugh at me. My family STILL make fun of me for that whenever we ride it, and especially whenever we get stuck right there.:banghead:

While I'm at it, I remember my first time going in HM (which I was absolutely terrified of as a little kid, so this was the first time I mustered up enough courage to go on it) and we stopped in the attic. Now, the attic was the place I was most terrified about in the masion. Of course, I had a complete breakdown because I had to stare at that darn bride that scared me so much. It was horrible... Luckily, it didn't scare me away from the ride and I rode it again with my fears at ease this time, and ended up loving it. Funny thing is, the ride that terrified me the most as a kid (to the point that I had to run whevever we had to cross the facade of fhe mansion to get to another ride) turned out to be my absolute favorite ride.

I've been stuck for short periods of time on rides such as Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion. Last time I was there, I was stuck on Buzz Lightyear for a little bit.

Got stuck at the very end of the current JIYI. The lights were out, but the chorus of the Imagination song was playing with figment singing...over and over again for 10 minutes straight of "IMAGINATION!" (Getting stuck on IASW was a cake walk compared to that.)

Short delays are fine, but long pointless delays are a waste. We got stuck on the People Mover about 100 feet from the start. After 30 minutes, CMs walked by. The people in front of us told them their little son had to pee. They told him they had to wait. 15 minutes later they walk by again and tell them they had to wait. So, the little boy stands on the seat and pees off the side. We all wind up missing Wishes and they simply say "We're sorry". They walked all of us off the ride after Wishes finishes.

That became a massive complaint and there were about 40 people meeting with a Supervisor. We wound up completely missing Wishes that entire trip.
