Getting into a restaurant w/o an ADR?

Good Morning All,
We are heading to WDW in 18 days woo hoo (sorry had to say that first). We booked this trip on very short notice and weren't able to get any ADR's that we wanted. Is it still possible to get into a place like BOG with out an ADR? Can we still put our name in one morning when we get into the park and hope to sit down and eat?

I wouldn't count on BOG. It's very unlikely that you'll get a table there. But you could try.

Places like BOG, Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier and the Garden Grill are popular and hard to get last-minute tables. But if you go online and look at what is available, you will probably find some sit-down meals.

There have been times I found Cinderella's breakfast and Le Cellier available same-day, but it doesn't happen a lot.

Good luck!

The chances of you getting into BoG without and ADR are slim to none. Quite often they will not even let you wait, they will simply tell you no. The best thing you can do is keep checking and try to secure an ADR.

For other restaurants it can be hit or miss, but if the system is currently showing zero availability your chances are not that great.

Keep trying. That is the best suggestion. If you are willing to venture outside the parks, or try some of the lesser known restaurants in park, you may very well still be able to get an ADR. Especially if you don't mind eating at an off time. MK is tough, is the Plaza is open you may have luck there. Epcot, odds are you can get something in Morocco, maybe China, Germany or Japan. DHS you may be able to get Hollywood and Vine with no issues, but I would pass as that location has a reason why it is empty. AK you may very well be able to walk into Yak & Yeti, when we have been there it's only been half full, especially around dinner time. You can get there as the park is closing and then just walk out through the empty park.

And just for giggles, I just pulled up the online dining system. Plugged in April 21st (20 days away) and selected dinner for a party of 4. The only ones completely sold out were the expected, BOG, Chef Mickey's, CRT, etc. So simply getting a reservation isn't a problem. But if it isn't showing up as available online/over the phone, don't expect any magic. You may get a cancellation, but that's about it. They don't hold any back for walk ups anymore.

I got into BOG on my birthday without an ADR! Ask any of the CM's at BOG (there is a station before the bridge you have to check in so you can have dinner there) a few CM's stand there directing guests. I asked if they had an cancellations and they did!!!! Make sure your there before it opens for dinner! You've got a better chance of getting in there as soon as it opens as aposed to going there at say 7pm. I also asked seems it was my birthday if it was possible for me to have the grey stuff and I got that too :D The grey stuff really is delicious! Good luck :)

I agree w/ Trotsky. In this day and age, ADRs are a must unless you like waiting. Sometimes they'll say they have room, but for the most part, if we didn't have an ADR, we were turned away.:( Good luck.;)
BTW- love the slots reference Trotsky! Got a pic of a craps table?:D

The last few times we went to WDW, waiting to be called for our ADR seats, I cant remember how many guests I watched who walked up asking if there were anything available and every one was turned away. It pays to be prepared and plan ahead.
