Getting from WL to Yacht Club

I'm using the Transportation Wizard to figure out time to get from WL to the Yacht Club. It says:

- Taking the bus from WL to Epcot and walking to YC takes 83 minutes. Is it that long a walk from Epcot to the YC?
- Bus to MK then bus to YC takes 35 minutes.

Was thinking of making an ADR at Yachtsman for dinner and heading there from the WL but would rather not take two buses in a row if possible.

WL to Epcot, then walk...I don't see how that would take 83 minutes. It takes about 10 to walk to the back of EPCOT, and then another 10 or so to get to YC.

Another option, if you are already at a park for the day, is just to snag a Beach and Yacht Club bus from there. That's how I'd do it.

Is it bc they are taking you around the outside of Epcot and not through? Do you have a park ticket for the day you want to do this or a park hopper if you happen to be at another park earlier? If so, you can cut through Epcot. If you have the tickets to allow this, I would take boat to MK, hop on Monorail to Epcot and walk through to the IG and go to YC from there. You could also take the bus from WL to DHS and just hop on the boat. That is another way to avoid using park tickets.

it all depends how lucky you are: if you snag a bus right away, less time; wait 20 mins, more time.
and i'm glad englanddg can walk from the entrance of epcot to international gateway in 10 minutes, but this mere mortal can't. and then walk down to yacht club. that's a lot of walking
taxis are cheap. if your group is small enough to all fit in one, consider that.

I don't remember if the bus from WL stops at another resort on the way, I know it does usually on the way back. I would take the boat from WL to the MK, and then bus from MK to Yacht. I don't think it would take more than 30 minutes if you don't have to wait for a bus.

Thanks, all. Yes, the bust to MK then bus to YC is the second option in my original post, and I guess the concensus is that's the fastest way (or a taxi).

We do have park tickets and park hopper for that day, but will already be back at Wl after being at one of the parks at this point.

I didn't know the WL buses sometimes made a stop at another resort before stopping back at WL - good to know!

If you don't want to have the hassle of multiple buses or anything it is best to take a taxi. Yes, it costs some money but it will be the fastest option, then you can spend more time relaxing at the WL before you have to leave. If you have to spend 83 more more minutes of your vacation time waiting for transportation that isn't vacation money well spent anyway.

If I were in your shoes, I'd take the boat from WL to MK - 10 minutes tops. Then, take the bus from MK to Yacht club. Then, I'd do the same thing in reverse to go back to WL, unless I wanted to go to Epcot for a quick stroll. But, I think that would be the least stressful.

Don't believe they will let you walk from the bus stops at Epcot to the Epcot Resorts unless you go through the park. There is no outside walkway that I have ever seen. It's either through the park or nothing if you get off at the Epcot bus stop.

I wasn't sure. I wonder why it said 83 minutes though. That seems so long.

I second! To get to Yacht Club from the front of Epcot you have to walk all the way through the park. There is no sense in doing this when you have quick access to the MK bus stops

You are correct, the only route is through the park and you can't get to the Epcot resorts from the main gate of Epcot
