I saw a ton of posts about wedding or engagement plans you can make. I think I typed in weddings or was it engagements under the Search engine. I liked the one about the rose garden and Cinderella's slipper but than again you can do something not so fancy and just propose while on the Illuminations cruise. Or perhaps take her to dinner at California Grill and ask to be seated near the window so that you can view the fireworks and pop the question there.

Anyway, best of luck and be sure to tell us what you decide!

Hello,

That is such a wonderful Idea! My wife and I went there on our honeymoon and it was great.

I h ave a couple Ideas for you. However, the big question is do you want a lot of people around. It may be hard to do it in a secluded place there, but anyway here is just a couple thoughts.

1. On the cinderella castle grounds there is a wisheing well, it is off to the right as you are walking to the castle from the park enterance. Not usually too many people around, but great views of the castle and the grounds.

2. Perhaps in Italy at epcot there is an a beautiful fountain there that could be very romantic!

3. Perhaps this one may sound odd, but right in front of cinderellas castel is the stature with walt and mickey. It just says it all for Disney lovers, what a great place to start your life together.

4. This would be my choice, but the problem is always a lot of people. It is During the fantasy in the sky fireworks at magic kingdom Perhaps you could find a place be a tree or something with the lighted castle it the background.

Well, good luck post more if you want any more info

I didn't get engaged at WDW, but we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there this past April. My husband gave me an anniversary ring late one evening as we sat on a bench at the marketplace. It was very romantic - the twinkling lights in the trees, that Disney atmosphere...my husband is NOT a Disney nut like I am, so his choice of locations to give me the ring was extra-special, because he knew how much WDW means to me!

If you pop the question while you're on Disney property - no matter where - I can guarantee that it will be a special memory for you both!:)

Just do it when you feel the moment is right...the most romantic moments my D/H and I have had at the World were completely unplanned!

my choice would be on the beach at the Polynesian during the fireworks. It is so peaceful and you could find a private spot.

Perhaps not romantic, but certainly memorable...........
On Main Street in MK, get one of Disneys photographers to take your picture as you bend down on one knee in the middle of the street with the castle in the background :sohappy:

the big proposal

Ohmygoodness!! You really can't go wrong at WDW. My present husband planned to propose at the World, but he couldn't wait and did it the night before in the hotel- but it was a Mickey ring!

I had always imagined the perfect proposals, of course. I like the thought of a cozy alley on Main Street, or the long-gone Skyway buckets, or even the People Mover- just some place semi-private yet unmistakably Disney. ooh, maybe Tom Sawyer Island.

Even though we can't revisit any historical landmark of our engagement, we do make a point to go by the phone in Frontierland where we called our parents. So don't worry too much. It'll be perfect. Best Wishes.
