Getting a package quote from Disney

If you call the Disney reservation number to get a quote on a vacation package, do you have the option of taking some time to "think about" the final figure and call back to confirm and pay your deposit or do you have to make a decision right then and there while they are on the phone with you? Do they give you a some kind of package # to refer to when calling back, if you want to call back after discussing the package with your family?

I've read threads where people just keep calling back to get the best quote, but what if the first quote you got was the best deal? How do you revert back to that one if you've made 3 separate inquiries?

I have been modeling packages on the website, and every once in a while I get a very slightly different quote using the same exact input data. It doesn't vary by much, but it DOES vary occasionally. (Same resort, number of days, number of people, arrival/departure dates, options, etc.) However, I would rather speak with an operator directly when I finally decide to book my trip rather than do it all online.

Also, if I have never received a PIN, and I want to know if one is associated with my name, how exactly do I ask that question? Is the operator allowed to come out and tell me that info if I haven't officially received a PIN?

The price really shouldn't very much. If you have AAA, give them a call and check their rates, and AAA does have better prices-sometimes.

As for the PIN number, just ask them and see if they can look up by your name. I don't know if they can actually do this, but it sure as heck can't hurt!!

Depending on your dates of travel, if it's far enough out, they should be able to hold the package for you for 7 days without airfare. Airfare usually has to be paid in full at time of booking, so if your flying, they won't be able to hold the airfare price.

Hope that helps some!!

If you are outside of 45 days before travel, you can put the reservation on a 7-day hold; you would then have 7 days to make the deposit before the reservation cancels.

If you are within 45 days, they will sometimes allow a hold until end of day.

If you're booking you own airfare, and are more than 45 days from travel, then they should be able to hold the reservation for 7 days at no obligation to you.

Also do price checks on the website, and save the offers, I think that sometimes helps you get a PIN. And if you get one after you book, you can add the PIN to your reservation and get the discount.
