How would one use Disney transportation to get here? We seem rather close because we're at the Wilderness Lodge, but I am not sure what might be the best way to get there.

I remember making at stop at Ft. Wilderness on the busses. I think they went to the Disney Mall, but I honestly can't remember, nor if I'm certain that's a every time thing. We could also use the boat service, but from what I can see on the map, the distance from the boat launch to the ranch seems quite far.

Has anyone else tried this? Still coming up what a few last minute magic ideas for the DD5 . . .

I think the DTD bus will be your best bet for getting there. The route should start at WL then go to the front of FW and right by the Circle D.

I believe the AK route will get you back.

The boat will work in both directions but you will need to take the internal bus transportation from Pioneer Hall to Circle D.

There are buses that travel from WL to FW (you'll see a sign for that route right at the bus depot), but I'd recommend taking the ferry boat from WL to FW or else walking if the weather is nice, as the ferry dock and trail terminus are both right at the "ranch end" of FW (while the bus would drop you off at the far end). In fact, if you take the walking trail, it literally ends at the ranch.

There are two trails from Wilderness Lodge: the sandy "nature" trail begins near the boat/bicycle rental area by the beach, and the paved biking/jogging trail begins near the WL bus depot. We walked the nature trail last time from WL to FW to see the Hoop-de-Doo Musical Revue at Pioneer Hall (which is immediately next to Tri-Circle-D Ranch). We were moseying along at a slow pace and it took no more than 10-15 minutes.

I've walked the paved path, light jog actually, and it took 5 minutes once you're on the trail. Weather permitting and assuming no one in your party has mobility issues, it will probably be the quickest way to get there (unless a ferry was literally getting ready to go the nanosecond you step on, and even then, I think it'd be a race.
