If I got pregnant this month (we are trying) I would find out at Disney most likely. So...if I did...what would be some cool ways to tell DH? Would Disney do anything special to help me tell him? Any ideas?

The commercial was for the cruise liner right?

Even though that was cute it doesn't fit her situation because she would be (maybe) getting pregnant before the trip...its just the "announcement" that would happen at WDW.

Heres an idea I stole from "Full House"...Im sure I will think of more later. You could go out to dinner and have them send you a platter of things that have the word baby in them (baby back ribs, baby corn, baby carrots...be creative!)

At a character Meet and Greet the character could do some cute charades(sp?) or gestures to make him get the idea

For a playful way you could write in little letters "baby" with a pen on your tummy and see how long it takes him to notice...maybe during a little "magic making"?

Here is an idea for your baby that we did for my cousin...
You can buy a mini Disney basketball and have the characters sign it (with a sharpie) and give it to the baby as a souveneir of his/her first trip to WDW(in your stomach).

more to come...

I would call Disney and see if they have any ideas... They are really good at these type of things.

P.S. Let us know which ones you like and what you decided to do! Im interested inwhat people have to say so I can use em for future refrence

My wife and I found out last year during our trip to the world that she was pregnant. She didn't get much of a chance to plan anything to tell me, because we found out together when rides she would normally have no problem with, made her sick.

We got lucky nothing happened to my now 3 month old daughter while on those rides. So be extra sure you're not pregnant before you get on any of the big rides.

Ohh.. and my addition. Insist on going to Toon Town in the Magic Kingdom first. When you get their bring out a notepad and pen and start jotting down notes. When he asks what you're doing tell him "Taking notes, in 9 months we're going to need all the help we can get".

And as a proud papa, here's my baby girl no less than a day old:

If you do find out that your pregnant while your there and you won't be back before you deliver pick up some little outfits. That way when he asks why you are looking at them just tell him you need to start getting ready. Maybe a small pair of baby shoes and little mickey ears for the baby too. Good Luck!!!:D

I don't know your husband, but speaking as a man . . .

. . . I think I'd want my wife to just tell me. The idea of having Chip & Dale tell me I'm going to be a father just . . . doesn't seem right, somehow.:lookaroun

Though, like I say, I don't know your husband, so maybe he would like something like that.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Here's how you tell DH - when you going to get into the line for one of the more thrilling rides, point to the sign that says expectant mothers should not ride and say "I better not get on this ride, then." And see how long it takes him to figure out what you mean!

You can check with the Walt Disney World Florist and see if they have anything cute for expectant or first time parents. I'm assuming this is your first if you are getting so creative about telling him. By the time second comes you have less time and energy to be so cute.

Anyway, the WDWF has a website, they deliver to WDW resorts. If your staying off site this might not be possible to use them. But you could have them deliver something to your room and have him recieve it or have it there when you come back from a day at the park or even try to have it in the room when you arrive, that would make a great kickoff to your stay.

Whatever you decide good luck!

Go buy some of the infant size mouse ears and try to talk the embroidery person into doing "Baby" on back. Then get another set of adult ears that say "Daddy" on back. You could even do a 3rd set that says "Mommy". I'm sure if you explain that you're pregnant and trying to surprise the new Daddy-to-be they'd help out. Then when the trip is done you have the souvenier for baby.

Ooooor, see if the shops still have the plush baby characters wrapped in little blankies. Buy his favorite character, have a note
that says "Congratulations, Daddy" and tuck it into the blanket so it shows. Wait for the perfect moment and whip it out on him. Or, at dinner hand it off to a CM, explain the situation, and have them come to the table with the special delivery.

Definately, try to get a CM or someone to hold your camera and take a picture of the moment. It'll be a memory to last a lifetime.

Good luck and have fun!

I am also trying to bacome pregnant...and if it happens this month I plan on telling DH next month at the MK by simply handing him positive pregnancy test during the wishes fireworks. I really like the idea about "If you are pregnant you should not ride this"...but since we are going with 3 little boys all under 5 we wouldn't be getting on any of those anyways.

Don't bother with the florist if you are preggers, you will need all the money you would be spending at the Disney florist (they charge: tax, handling fee, delivery fee and their arrangements are just really pricey) for diapers. There are lots of baby items at WDW to choose from. Get a cute little onesie with a charater, a rattle or whatever else they have. The ears are a cute idea, although even at 7 months my son's ears hat was still too big for him (we got him his first haircut while at WDW and DH wants to plan the same for our twin girls) You could do the baby dinner as mentioned, or get a baby cake decorated with a carriage or booties or something. Good luck
