Genie + and other help?

I have two questions. I tried searching but couldn’t find anything.
I fly into Orlando on a friday around noon.

first question: Do I need a park reservation if I plan on not going to a park until after 2pm?
Second question: Since I will be staying on property can I book genie + rides at 7am even though I’m not checked in? Or do you have to be checked in?

The first question. You have to have a park reservation to enter a park regardless of the time. Im not sure about the answer to the second.

Thank you. I thought after 2pm I didn’t need one because you are allowed to park hop then but that’s good to know.

I’m not sure if this is what you’re asking, but you have to tap into a reserved park before you can hop to a second park. Otherwise, you need a reservation for whatever park you visit after 2 pm because you wouldn’t be park-hopping.

Ok. That makes sense. So because I won’t be going until the evening I still need to reserve the park. Thanks.

Lots of things to figure out, it was NEVER THIS CONFUSING or Time consuming!

Genie+ LLs are available for everyone at 7am. It's only ILLs that don't become available for off-site guests until park open. So you can make your first G+ LL selection at 7am, and then purchase any ILLs after the park opens.

The first question has been answered already.

The second question:
First of all I suggest you do online check-in anyway, there really are no disadvantages to doing so.

However, whether you do or not, you will be able to use your resort guest privileges that day. So you can book your first G+ ride at 7am. If you are purchasing ILLs, you can also book two of those at 7am.

Neither G+ or ILLs need be at the park you have reserved. If for example you plan to start at MK and hop to AK, you could buy an ILL for both Space Mtn and FoP at 7am. You could also book a G+ pass for the Safari; the system would automatically only give you a time after 2pm for a ride that is not in your reserved park.
