So you can go explore AoA even though you aren't staying there? I really want to stay there and I'm still undecided about going, but the dates I want aren't available in the Little Mermaid rooms. I wouldn't mind at least seeing the grounds if I had to stay at POP:) Just curious if I can roam around.

yes you can roam freely. We were at Pop June 7 -18. As we were walking over a group was walking back across. THey had all gone swimming in the main pool. (not sure why) It does have a fence...but you can easily open the gate to get in. We opened the gate to get inside to take photos. The main pool seemed smaller to me. We thought the Cars pool area, although very small, was very cute.

Be forwarned if you use the food court. It is good...but we had 7 in our group. When ordering we told the kid we had different orders on two different room keys, he said no problem. But he went ahead and put them all on one order. At the register you give them your order ticket (you have the food right there on your tray!) and they scan it and processes. Well, my room keys only allowed for 4 adult meals and the ticket was for 7. We explained it was two different rooms...he couldn't (or didn't know how to) ring us up...so we had to go back to the food counter and have him cancel that order, print two new tickets (even though we clearly told him this from the get go) and get back in line to pay for our now getting cold food. I'm all for technology but there has to be a better way!

We were there last week and found the food court staff seemed to still be in training as well. One morning, the man ringing us out rang everything as side dishes. We then had to tell him what came with kids meals and on a breakfast platter. also the food needs a bit of work.
