Is there a general store in or very near disney to buy cereal? We wont have a car.
Like everyone else said there are small stores or food you can get from the counter service locations at the hotels, and when your done shopping at that general store, the horse and buggy can ring you to the parks!

As mentioned, the DVC resorts do have a fairly well stocked store on premise, the non DVC resorts have less stock. However, it all comes at WDW prices. Strongly suggest bringing some with you as a 14oz box of Frosted Flakes is $4.95 according to the 2011 price list. You can see the full DVC price listing here -> http://advc.disney.go.com/media/dvc...oceryorder/Grocery_List_DAKV_June_2011_v3.pdf but unless you are staying at a DVC resort, you would only see a small subset of those food choices.

DVC is Disney time-share.

If you can, bring your own cereal. You'll pay big bucks for it at Disney. But you can buy cereal in the gift shop, the food court or maybe both. :)

Depends on what kind of food. Dry goods like cereal? Probably. Liquids, fresh produce, stuff that should be refrigerated? Possibly not.
There are markets near WDW that have online shopping options - you can place an order before you leave for your vacation, and have the order delivered to your resort the day you arrive (or any day, really). It's probably a better option than using valuable packing space on groceries. Here's one of the sites https://www.gardengrocer.com/

Both the Boardwalk and Beach Club have DVC wings, so they do have reasonably well stocked stores, with the prices I mentioned earlier.

Also consider WeGoShop -> http://www.wegoshop.com/location15.html They typically want to deliver to you directly instead of leaving it with Bell Services (which is one of the main reasons why Garden Grocer won't deliver to the Swolphin).

As dreamfinder wrote before me, if you're staying at the Dolphin, then you are within a 5 minute walk of both the Beach Club and the Boardwalk. Each resort has a small convenience store to pick up some groceries. The selection won't knock your socks off, but they'll have some cereals and other dry goods, plus milk and sodas, beer/wine, some frozen meals like pizzas, etc. I'd wager that the Dolphin itself also has some convenience store items.

There are a few other possible options. First, I don't know if you're using Disney Magical Express to get to the resorts or if you're planning to take a cab or hire a car service to drive you to the resort. If you are using a car service they will often include a 30 minute stopover in the price of the service, so they can drive you to a nearby supermarket (Gooding's I think is the closest market to WDW) and wait while you stock up on supplies.

The other option, which could be problematic, is to take a bus from the Dolphin to the Downtown Disney area. Less than a 10 minute walk from where the buses drop off in the Marketplace section of Downtown Disney is a Hess gas station with a relatively well-stocked convenience store. Certainly more options than the general stores in the Disney resorts, and much better prices. You can stock up on what you need and then bus back to the Dolphin.

I like the "Screen Door General Store" at the Boardwalk Resort, it will have full sized cereal boxes. Most resorts should have individual sized cereal as well. And if it's just cereal you need, you could always throw a couple of boxes from home in your luggage.

Doesn't the Swolphin not do DME?

Is the on property Hess by BW less stocked/harder to get to? I'd think thats a close and quicker option, but I've never tried walking over from BW.

You're right, they don't.

Honestly, I forgot about the Hess station close to the Epcot resorts, which I'm sure could be an option if they're stocked with groceries like the Downtown Disney one. Never been to that one, so I don't know.

EDIT: According to WDWinfo, the Hess station near the Boardwalk does, indeed, have a convenience store, but no info as to whether it's more or less stocked than the ones at Downtown Disney or Magic Kingdom.

I have been in the BW Hess and it is very small. Not sure it would be any better than the stores in Dolphin, Beach Club or Boardwalk.
