…is that a joke?
This is the way.If you're searching for new adventure, "This is the way"!
So a clickbait article, the TLDR of which is that Disney spent $187M after tax rebates on Acolyte, which is about $23M per episode. Which is only slightly higher than the average for a streaming show these days. And far cry cheaper than the total $645M spent on Andor, which comes out to $27M per episode.Congrats to KK for green lighting the most bag of flaming dogin human history

Here's the issue. When all is said and done, the acolyte is an absolute turd of a show. Yes they received a tax credit. But the money was spent and it's a true embarrassment because of how bad it was. You can see where Andors money went. Not so much in the acolyte. So that show before factoring tax cuts cost a heck of a lot of money. That's the problem. This show should have been 75mil after the tax cuts based on the quality. Not 187mil.So a clickbait article, the TLDR of which is that Disney spent $187M after tax rebates on Acolyte, which is about $23M per episode. So while I appreciate your perspective, my comment had nothing to do with the "quality" of the show, just the budget and specifically its relation to how its presented in that article. Here's the issue. Even the toys sucked.Any suggestion that the acolyte was in ANY way a good idea is simply stupid.
Happy Friday
One of the things that I find very weird about Disneys biggest detractors is the “anyone who disagrees with me is outright wrong” attitude.Any suggestion that the acolyte was in ANY way a good idea is simply stupid.

That is an attribute of both supporters and detractors. One of the things that I find very weird about Disneys biggest detractors is the “anyone who disagrees with me is outright wrong” attitude.
I don’t root for companies. I root for good shows and the artists that make them so that whatever corporation the artist works for lets them make either more they previously made or more things like it.People need sides to root for. Why I don't understand is why we root for a company that doesn't care anything for their customers outside of their money most companies don’t care about their customers

Oh I get it. It's like any article in the Internet age. They're almost all click bait-y. To be fair the article talked about the quality a lot and they did talk about the tax credit. The point I took from it was it cost too much and wasn't very good. And even counting the tax cuts they still spent that original amount so where'd that money go. So a side from the title making it seem like the finalSo while I appreciate your perspective, my comment had nothing to do with the "quality" of the show, just the budget and specifically its relation to how its presented in that article.
Quality is subjective, and there were both many supporters of the show as well detractors, as was seen during the shows run just here on this site.
In the abstract you are correct. One of the things that I find very weird about Disneys biggest detractors is the “anyone who disagrees with me is outright wrong” attitude.
I'm just going to leave this here...Congrats to KK for green lighting the most bag of flaming dogin human history
