General posting question

This may be a dumb question and I don't know where else to post this, but how do you get a picture on your posting name (you know where your name appears when you post a thread or reply to a thread). I love everyone's little pictures but don't know how to do it. Some are regular personal pics, which I guess you take from your digital cams, and some are special Disney icons, where do you find them? Any help would be much appreciated!

:sohappy: Have a magical day!!!

I've been wondering the same thing, other than the few stock photos they have that you can select here, but I've never really had time to look into it.

What you're referring to is an "Avatar". You can find them by googling "avatar" plus a word related to a particular subject [eg. "Disney"] or you can make your own from a digital picture by re-sizing it to be small enough [WDWMagic limits size to 160 by 120 pixels or 39.1 KB (whichever is smaller)].

Once you have the avatar you want, click on "User CP" at the top of any forum page, click on "edit Avatar" and upload your picture.

Use a service like image shack to host your pic (http://www.imageshack.us/)

Then select the "User CP" button above and upload your pic as an avatar.

You dont have to upload it to an image host first. You can just pick it from your local PC using the browse button in the USERCP. :)

WHOO HOO!!! I found a Tinkerbell one - but it said it was too much memory or whatever to save. But I am super glad this worked - I will take Mickey and Minnie any day!
