I hear a little company with a mouse mascot are a marvel with such content and would be a perfect home for spider related shows.
Not too sure they'd take that property with those directors attached. Even tho Spiderverse was a success, the last season of Game of Thrones not so much.

If given the opportunity I would think they'd take a swing at it just to get some of the characters back in the family web. But I doubt Sony would be willing to do that which is why they went to Amazon in the first place.

But its clear that Sony just needs to give up the rights at this point, they are floundering at best.

That was clear with Spiderman 3. As much as I loved no way home, I almost would have preferred Disney to stick it to Sony. Let them have to reboot, again, and see how well that would work.

No doubt, but Sony is going to continue to take swings at it until it no longer become profitable. Unfortunately the question will be if there will be an audience left for any spider related content once that happens.

The flip side is if Sony ends up with Paramount (slim but possible in my opinion), would they just be willing to let Spidey and family go back to Marvel/Disney as they'll have other toys to play with. Jut we'll see...

Actually I would think if that scenario happened, it would be less likely Spidey went home. I can see Sony want to start it all over again since they would then need streaming content.

That indicates that you're assuming they keep Paramount+ and not mothball it like they did with their previous streaming service thru PS. Sony has been fine with their deal for Pay One at Netflix and then Pay Two at Disney. So I really don't see that changing if they get Paramount.

I don't think this was ever posted, but Simu Liu confirmed earlier this month that Shang-Chi 2 is (still) happening.

The only question is when, I believe it keeps being pushed back. I suspect its likely due to the shifts from last years SAG-AFTRA/WGA strikes as well the internal reorg/refocus within Marvel. So hopefully we'll hear something soon on Shang-Chi 2, maybe at Comic-Con or D23 later this summer.

This was expected as Marvel confirmed that FF will start filming the next day, and supposition is out that the cast will be at SDCC

The Russo Bros. are in early talks to return to Marvel Studios to direct not just one, but the next two Avengers movies, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

The hiring ends a months-long, high stakes search by the studio for filmmakers to oversee the fifth and sixth Avengers movies. Multiple names were in contention, including Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy, who was offered the gig. Sources say the talks are in the early stages."

Positive news. Avengers 5 just lost its scriptwriter though, so seems this phase is largely back to the drawing board
