Gearing up for a LONG trip and had a question

I know these aren’t allowed at Disneyland but I have heard mixed results on these collapsible chairs at Disney World. Does anyone have some concrete results on whether they are allowed or not? It seem like it would be incredibly useful on my 12 day bender.

Why carry that around? WDW parks, unlike DLR parks have a large collection of shows and long attractions (KS, SSE, LwtL, etc) where you can rest your feet at anytime, I also highly suggest early evening ADRs for another refresher. Finally, spend a half day at TL, you can lounge in the lazy River or body surf in that pool for hours to get off your feet. Just seems like a hassle for what firework viewing? Only need to wait a max of 30 min for that.

The need to sit, isn't confined to sore feet. I have lower back problems and can stand or walk for a very limited time. During that time no one can tell that there is a problem but, when it comes on I have a lot of pain and stagger like I just drank a whole fifth of Jack. I can make it stop but only if I can sit. All it takes is about 5 minutes to start the walking or standing again, rinse and repeat. Since WDW in particular decided that having benches was some problem, I had to rent a scooter and then ended up sitting most of the time, but at least it was fun and more importantly, painless. I know I must get a lot of suspicious staring because I can get off the scooter at load and it doesn't look like I have any problem at all, but I don't care, I know how it feels and anyone that disapproves or thinks I'm just lazy, can pound sand. One of the very few perks of aging, one no longer gives a crap what others think.

As others have said, they are not allowed. At the risk of stating the obvious, wheelchairs and electric scooters are allowed. A hybrid option at WDW, if you don't need to use one every day, is to use one some days.

Disney offers wheelchairs for $12 a day (near the main park entrances). they also offer scooters, but only in the parks. There are also multiple reputable companies for renting an ECV or wheelchair.
