Just read a article on internet saying disney planning on bringing out openly gay princes in new film? Anyone else heard if it's ture? And before anyone starts yelling at me I do not have a problem with anyone being gay at all just curious if it's ture or not! Xx

Yeah, Disney isn't that brave yet. You'll notice that on Once Upon a Time, when they made one of the Disney Princesses LGBT, they picked Mulan, who is second only to Pocahontas as the least marketed.

To be honest I really didt think they would, can imagine the hoo Haa the newspapers would kick up?! Shame but maybe one day. And I kinda lost interest in once upon a time near end of season 1, it just went on too long! Sorry, please don't throw stones at me!

I don't think a story like that would make enough money to make, maybe if it was a non cartoon chick flick but that's about it.

Reality is the majority of people go to movies where they can relate to the characters... or at the very least go because they think it would be cool to be the character (which is why little girls seem to like Princess movies)... Now if you had a movie an animated movie about a gay prince how many people do you think would go to it? Even if every gay in America went the reality is most straight couples with kids wouldn't be taking their sons to see it, we've seen how much backlash there is when they introduce homosexuality into middles schools... And there is no reason to expect little girls to want to see it because how many have fantasies about being a gay prince? In the end the movie wouldn't make money and that is what drives Disney to make movies.

Gay princes would make a really "fractured" fairy tale. Are most movie goers ready for the concept? Probably not.
