He has a point there Steph (on the top of his head.....)

 That's not piggish, that's truthful!

I did the major planning for our wedding, but asked him what he thought about certain things. He didn't help me pick the cake, had no idea what the flowers looked like. Actually, I don't think he actually had much imput, now that I think about it. He just showed up...:lookaroun

I think that's a good idea. Your mom and sis would probably enjoy it more than Adam would anyway.
So wait...Rick is right?

*watches Rick's head swell*

You guys are all right. As long as he's there for the family stuff and the engagement celebration, I suppose that's ok.

Thanks :o

No prob. And don't worry, I would have been mad as heck if I were you. Wasting his days on playing Nintendo! :fork:

(And yes, in this instance, Rick is indeed right.)

Rick did not really just say that, did he? :dazzle:

Hello new thread. . .and dear friends.

Can't stay. . .
Just want to say to Steph. . .
First really let him have it. :lookaroun Then start searching for some cheap flights. Make him come up with the cash for the tickets, if possible. Then go home for Christmas and you stay later and take care of things. JMO.

I see Rick's in fine form . There's also the wonderful weapon called guilt. If he complains about what you decide you can say, "honey, if you hadn't played video games on your days off, we could've decided together". :D

In all seriousness, I think as long as he doesn't forget the ring and doesn't show up in sweat pants, you're good to go! :animwink:

It looks like we're going to have to miss Christmas this year because he was irresponsible and wasted the rest of his days off to stay home & play Xbox. :( I kept telling him he was going to run out of days and not have enough left for Christmas and he always said it was ok and he had plenty. Wellll, I was right and he doesn't have enough left. :brick: He only has Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.
We figured this out a few weeks ago and he was supposed to be talking to his boss about trying to get an extra day or two but kept putting it off, putting it off. Finally today he promised he'd do it, so I emailed him every hour this morning to remind him. His boss said no anyway that he can't give people extra days.
Well, the flights are almost $500 per person and I just don't think we can afford $1000 just to go for 4 days and not even have time to do any of our wedding errands. I'm just upset because he knew how important this trip was planning-wise...and I only get to see my family twice a year anyway. And this is going to be the last Christmas in my Grandma's old house...my Grandpa is finally going to sell it, it's just too much house for him.

:cry::cry::cry:

Thanks, Nicole. Oh I'm glad to hear that, I was wondering. Have they gotten it contained at all?

Hola! Seems like I get into these threads at the start and then just cannot keep up with you all. :lookaroun

My DH did no planning for our wedding. My mom & I did everything and that was OK, we had everything done in one week!
All he wanted to know was when and where he should show up.
