Our trip is coming up in april and we have made our dinner reservations but we looked at the menu and my hubby is interested in changed a couple of our selections if it isn't too late . of course when we call if it is too late we will keep what we have. My first question is Garden Grill at epcot better or Gullivers Grill at the swan better . The meal would be for diner. We have a 5 year old and an 8 year old so please keep that in mind. If one is better then the other why?

Another thing we were going to chef mickeys twice during our 10 day stay but instead we want to go once and eat italian the other day. We got the dining plan and we would want dinner . We are considering ALFREDO DI ROMA in italy at epcot. Is there a better italian resturant on the dining plan? :slurp:

I was not that impressed with Gullivers... it was a buffett but it just didnt have that Disney feel to it since Disney doesnt run it. I havent eaten at Garden Grill so i cant say for that.

The Garden Grill is nice because of the atmospere. It's a rotating rest. with two levels of seating. While you're eating you will get to see some of the scenery from The Living with the Land ride. Our 4 yr. old DS really enjoyed this. We went at the latest reservation they had, around 8 pm. It was pretty much empty, just a handful of guests. All of the characters visted several times. Food was great and all you can eat.

Unless you want just desserts, go with Garden Grill! I wasn't too impressed with anything except the desserts at Gulivers especially for the price.

Alfredos is REAL Italian, however the last time I went there wasn't a lot to choose from if I remember right, at least for my picky tastes. I would suggest Mama Melrose, it has GREAT food, and is in my Top 10 Places to Eat On Property List.

First if you are on the dining plan you won't be able to use it at the Swan hotel. Second, I don't like the italian food at Alfredo's, Mama Melrose or Tony's. I would select another restaurant entirely maybe Boma at AKL, Chef de France, or Crystal Palace. And stop worrying about the kids, there are chicken fingers everywhere, pick what you want. If you want to check out the menu's go to this website www.allearsnet.com

If Garden Grill still has the chocolate fondue for dessert, you'd be foolish to pass it up.

Last year, my fiancee and I managed to get Fastpasses for Soarin to coincide about an hour after our dinner reservations. It worked out perfectly.

They do sometimes, but the "come back" times are through out the day until closing time.
