We are lookingto try out different restaurant options, and as the Princess breakfast is book until "brunch time" on our EPCOT dates, the Garden Grill popped up as an alternative earlier breakfast option. Has anyone done breakfast there?

I have. I wouldn’t really recommend it for the food. I like the restaurant location itself, which is cool if you haven’t done it before. But the breakfast selections are basically just the standard eggs and bacon and Mickey waffles you’d get at any quick serve, along with off the shelf tater tots. The only thing noteworthy is the cinnamon bread which is good.

Thanks for that input. I think maybe we'll just keep trying for the Princess breakfast. Maybe we'll get lucky and oneine will cancel ...

I loved my breakfast last trip! The food was pretty standard but you can't beat the revolving restaurant (we got a booth looking out into The Land which was perfect), the incredible service from the Cast Members, and the character interactions were by far my favorite of the trip. I went with my mom and my sister (I usually steer away from character meals these days because I'm 28 without kids but my sister hasn't been to WDW in 10 years and this was her one request) and they loved it. We got mimosas to start, the yummy baked sticky buns, waffles, hash browns, bacon, eggs, fruit. They serve you family style, which was nice to not have to get up to a buffet, as I was normally accustomed to doing with any character breakfast. It's a lot of food though, probably too much for the three of us.

My unpopular opinion is that there really isn't a great breakfast option in WDW. If you're going to spend a premium price on a character meal, I'd try to go during lunch when the food options are typically better and the prices are cheaper than if you were to go during dinner. I probably won't book another breakfast again, unless I was feeling nostalgic or if I were going with a child. But for the most part, I'll get my standard Mickey Waffles, a Joffrey's coffee, and sit on the hub grass as the day begins.

Been to the Garden Grill for breakfast twice in the last year. If you have kids it is great. It is a smaller restaurant and we had the characters visit our table two and three times during our meal. As for the food, it is standard stuff, but it is served hot and fresh.

We loved Garden Grill for breakfast when we went a couple of years ago. For our upcoming trip in October we've tried to have as few repeats as possible but GG breakfast is one of the few we're doing again because we liked it so much!

Hmmm ... this is sounding better to me now!

You should try the Wave or Trails End. Best breakfasts on property I’m aware of.

I've been twice. I think the breakfast is great. You've seen the photos of the skillet with scrambled eggs, tater tots, bacon, sausage, ham, and Mickey Waffles in the skillet. Also a HUGE cinnamon bun and a bowl of fruit. The character greetings aren't over the top, thankfully. And it's not wild, unlike Chef Mickey's. The characters are Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. I learned from Chip that pouring chocolate over the Mickey Waffles is GOOOD. He's right.

If you're looking for a good, understated character breakfast, I recommend Garden Grill. As long as you're there, I'd combine it with fastpasses for Soarin' and LWTL.

If you don't have time for table service, you can't go wrong with various items from Sunshine Season's counter service downstairs. One of the best counter service restaurants on property. Here's the menu: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/sunshine-seasons/menus/

We did this breakfast two years ago and agree with the other posts. Also you don't feel crammed in or rushed with the characters. We had an 8 am reservation then walked on Soarin twice with minimal wait when Epcot opened at 9 am (the first time we were the "first flight" of the day).

Garden Grill is our favorite character meal for dinner and I have been waiting to do breakfast there since it gets great reviews. We booked a PPO breakfast and a dinner ADR for our upcoming Nov trip! So excited!

Just as a side note here: I've read from some other members on the forum, that the Sunday brunch at the California Grille is supposed to be excellent. It is very pricey though. (I don't think they have Disney characters at this though.)

I'd love to try CG's brunch! The price tag ($80 per adult) does scare me a bit but from reviews I've read, it appears you get a lot for your money. Also, complimentary mimosas? I'm there. I just never happen to be in WDW on a Sunday, unless it's my travel day. Hopefully they expand the brunch to more days!

Thanks for the tip! I haven't given up on breakfast at WDW entirely. It just seems to be the same fare everywhere I go. I have heard good things about the Wave and Trails End. I'll have to convince the DH to wake up early for breakfast next trip

We have done the Garden Grill for breakfast on our last two trips and we love it! The food is good and the character interaction is the best out of the character meals that we have done. The meal is served family style so you are seated the entire time and don't have to worry about getting up and going to the buffet and missing the characters. Also, as mentioned by others, if you time your reservation you can eat and walk right onto Soarin' saving a FP+ for TT.

My family really liked our breakfast at the Garden Grill. The food was very good, and the characters spent a lot of time with us. I've got it booked again for our trip this fall.:D
