I have. I wouldn’t really recommend it for the food. I like the restaurant location itself, which is cool if you haven’t done it before. But the breakfast selections are basically just the standard eggs and bacon and Mickey waffles you’d get at any quick serve, along with off the shelf tater tots. The only thing noteworthy is the cinnamon bread which is good.
I loved my breakfast last trip! The food was pretty standard but you can't beat the revolving restaurant (we got a booth looking out into The Land which was perfect), the incredible service from the Cast Members, and the character interactions were by far my favorite of the trip. I went with my mom and my sister (I usually steer away from character meals these days because I'm 28 without kids but my sister hasn't been to WDW in 10 years and this was her one request) and they loved it. We got mimosas to start, the yummy baked sticky buns, waffles, hash browns, bacon, eggs, fruit. They serve you family style, which was nice to not have to get up to a buffet, as I was normally accustomed to doing with any character breakfast. It's a lot of food though, probably too much for the three of us.
My unpopular opinion is that there really isn't a great breakfast option in WDW. If you're going to spend a premium price on a character meal, I'd try to go during lunch when the food options are typically better and the prices are cheaper than if you were to go during dinner. I probably won't book another breakfast again, unless I was feeling nostalgic or if I were going with a child. But for the most part, I'll get my standard Mickey Waffles, a Joffrey's coffee, and sit on the hub grass as the day begins.
You should try the Wave or Trails End. Best breakfasts on property I’m aware of.I loved my breakfast last trip! We did this breakfast two years ago and agree with the other posts. Also you don't feel crammed in or rushed with the characters. We had an 8 am reservation then walked on Soarin twice with minimal wait when Epcot opened at 9 am (the first time we were the "first flight" of the day).We are lookingto try out different restaurant options, and as the Princess breakfast is book until "brunch time" on our EPCOT dates, the Garden Grill popped up as an alternative earlier breakfast option. Has anyone done breakfast there?
Just as a side note here: I've read from some other members on the forum, that the Sunday brunch at the California Grille is supposed to be excellent. It is very pricey though. (I don't think they have Disney characters at this though.)
