Garden Grill closed till July 7th????

Mousesavers in their newsletter stated that the Garden Grill will be closed until July 7th to accomodate teh completion of Soarin. However, Soarin is still listed as opening in May. So is the Garden Grill going to be closed???

I wondered the same thing, and we will be there in May so I was hoping it would be open. Most likely they are working to get Sorin ready and don't care too much about getting GG ready. Too bad really. It seemed strange to go to WDW a few weeks ago and not eat there. :lookaroun

Word is that the Garden Grill actually pushed the entire pavilion's original opening date back to April 26. They must be doing something really big to it... though I imagine anything that moves an entire resturant is an undertaking to rehab.

That may not be the only reason - there is a LOT of work to be done inside the pavilion.

I didn't realize they were doing anything to the restaurant. It's my favorite place in the universe to eat - I hope if they mess with it they just make what's already good even better without removing anything.

Wow, I didn't know that they were going to make big changes to the restaurant...

Does anyone know if the menu is going to change, or if it will remain the same? I miss the catfish so much, I can't believe I've lasted this long without it! :slurp:

Hmm...interesting, I wonder how long the Land will be delayed?
I highly doubt they'd actually want guests to board Soarin' through back entrances.

I was unaware of any real changes to the restaurant myself. The only thing I had heard was that it was now going to be called Chip & Dales Garden Grill. What other changes are planned???

Sorry Jill. My older son and I are going from May 11-16 and my wife tried to make a PS for us while we are there. They told her that GG will be closed during those dates. I also found it strange since Soarin' will be opened by then, but it doesn't look good.

Well, I'm more concerned about the Land itself being open, including Soarin'. Although it would be fun to eat at GG, I haven't eaten there in like...6 years? *crosses fingers for Land opening*
