Now that the Garden Grill has started serving breakfast, I was wondering if anyone here has been there yet for it. We have an ADR for it next week and are really looking forward to it. The characters will be there for breakfast, right?

I'll post my thoughts on it when we get back.

Traditional breakfast fare.
Plus pog juice. Love that stuff.

All this was served for four of us and is all you can eat so if your stomach can handle it go big or go home. Ha ha.

We really enjoyed this breakfast addition. I'd have gone for the pog juice alone. Character interaction was good as always. I would definitely do this one again.

Also, a question from a Brit, what is the breakfast sausage gravy? Looks like porridge (oatmeal) to me

I don't see breakfast sausage gravy or oatmeal. Do you mean the scrambled eggs?

I saw a beautiful photo from breakfast the other day on one of the blogs and it made me want to go so badly. Great photos in this thread too.

Sausage gravy is a southern thing.. it is a very thick gravy made from milk, flour, and sausage drippings. It often has sausage and/or bacon in it. It is served with biscuits or on top of chicken fried steak.

That picture doesn't represent how it is usually served.. often it is poured over the biscuits like regular gravy. This picture does make it look like oatmeal or porridge.. I'm guessing that it is diced bacon on top, but it looks like brown sugar..

As is the case with many Southern foods, not particularly healthy.. but highly delicious! They sure know how to eat in the South!

I haven't had Disney's sausage gravy before, but others have said it is almost as good as mom's (or grandma's).. which is good enough for me!

Have you never been to Garden Grill for dinner? Minnie's Holiday Dine is only for dinner...lunch and breakfast have Sofia, Handy Manny, Jake and Doc McStuffins.
Yes, I've done Garden Grill for dinner but excited for this. I canceled the Holiday Dine dinner and went with Garden Grill breakfast the next morning instead. And will save $50. Pleased as punch.

I promised to provide my thoughts after eating there, so here they are..

We really enjoyed it. We had never eaten there before, so the rotating restaurant was a new experience for us. We were seated in the tables on the upper level, so we didn't really get a good view of the scenery below.

The food was good. I always love the POG juice, but it wasn't particularly cold. The cinnamon roll skillet was very good (not quite Gaston's, but still very good). The only thing that wasn't at or above expectations was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were good, but the gravy was just ok. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, and if you are new to the whole biscuits and gravy thing, it isn't a good representation of how it can be.

The character interaction was good, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Farmer Mickey made the rounds. Space is limited, so it is difficult to get good pictures, and there isn't much room behind a stopped Dale for a server to get by with a tray of hot food.

Overall, I would recommend it. We ate ourselves silly and enjoyed the experience. It was the first ADR of our trip, and set the pace for the others. I just wouldn't recommend going right to Mission: Space right after eating. :)
