Gambling in orlando/Florida

How would you feel if gambling was legal in the Orlando area. Orlando is oppose it they feel they would lose out on convention buisness going south to Miami. The State of Florida may look into this. If gambling was legal in Florida would you still go to Disney .

Gambling is already legal in the state of Florida and millions of people still go to Disney every year. The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa is only 2 hours away with 1800 gaming machines.

I can't speak for anyone else and I would still go, but why do you think a casino in Orlando would stop anyone from going to WDW?

IMO, A casino in Orlando, would mean bigger crowds for Food and Wine festival.

Personally, I would support it. I need to play some poker...

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino is only a one hour drive away from Disney World. I would say an Orlando casino would actually increase overall attendance to Disney World.

Legalized gambling in Florida has always been a hot topic in Florida. Personally, I can not see a good reason why they can not make it legal state wide. We already have the casinos on the Indian reservations, every port has a gambling cruise and dog tracks, poker rooms, internet cafes, etc are already on nearly every corner. The argument has always been that they will increase crime, but I have never seen any data that shows that concern to be valid.

Where I live in Fl. I have 7 casinos within 20 miles no increase in crime and the seminole tribe gives my city 3 mil a year just to be here (support for services ie water ) how much does disney give orange county besides we should be blessing them attude.
