A couple of years ago at FQ's bus stop I stood behind a man who was playing on a slot machine app on his phone, I don't know if it was 'for fun' or was real money involved. I do recall one thing, he was totally ignoring his daughter who was trying to get his attention. The only people who win with gambling are the owners of the casinos and gambling apps. I hope Disney don't get involved with gambling in any capacity.

Weird I'm from PA and I swear it seems like a majority of the people I see in the casinos around here are senor citizens who are just looking for something to do. I've seen very little of what you describe happening around here. I won't say it doesn't happen its just not noticeable. I haven't even noticed it in AC much the last few times I've been there. Of course AC isn't what it used to be now that PA and Maryland have their own casinos. A lot of the AC casinos have struggled to stay open and some have changed hands multiple times since this happened.

Yes, the senior citizens or what I like to refer to them as the "seasoned folks" love their slots. They're usually out and about during the day. They're always pleasant. Only times something out of the ordinary happens with a seasoned guest is when one slips and falls or something in that nature.

The ones I know of friends and family have flown to Vegas for bachelorette party weekends to include gambling and they have a wild weekend to let themselves loose. You are correct about the nightclub behavior. To add to that the infamous pool parties is Vegas hedonism.

I worked the rehab pool party in 2005 and 2006, absolute chaos but also insanely fun. It was still 98% average joes though, like you said… just normal people in Vegas letting loose and having a wild weekend.

I hope something like Rehab never happens at WDW but the people who attend those parties are nurses, teachers, cops, etc and most probably have fun at the Disney parks also.

Sports betting is almost all they talk about now on ESPN…I’m a person who supports the legalization of sports betting, bc you should be free to do what you want with your money.

But the constant talk of betting lines, over-under, etc. runs the joy of watching sports highlights. Just another thing that has changed for the worse.

I like watching Bad Beats with SVP on Mondays. Mostly, because they are a lot of teams that you don't normally see in the highlights. But in general, the betting angle has made me less interested in sports television.

I am also not so confident that if the ESPN Club reopens at the Boardwalk there would not be a way for patrons to participate in sports betting as it becomes more mainstream. It's theming, right?

Where do you think? Have you noticed better maintenance, more entertainment, and a wider buffet of offerings included in the cost of your ever-higher park ticket or room price? Yet, the money must be going somewhere...

If thats a way for then to make more cash and not effect the park experience go right ahead. We already have alcohol in MK and we all lived. The days of Disney beiing family centered are done. If you look at the changing demographics and low birth rate they do need to add more adult entertainment.
