.....that he's been told that a "Cars" attraction will be the next thing to go into Pixar Place. Makes sense, seeing as they're working on Cars 2. :zipit:

Personally, I'd like to see the Ratatouille or Incredibles Coaster built.

Obviously that CM reads WDWMagic.com. The only rumor I know you can rule out is the "Ratatouille" coaster rumor. Iger himself has said that it isn't happening. All the others are possible IMO.

I haven't heard about that yet

Maybe, I would also prefer something from the Incredibles. The only Incredibles related thing at Disney is at Animation, when you can meet and greet them. I always thought this was a rip-off on one of my fav. movies!

Has anyone heard anything new about Pixar Place yet?

I've heard a few rumors about this. It does make sense although I still can't see why they are making Cars 2?!?

While the first "Cars" movie was very successful in term of ticket sales; it was the fact that it made unbelievable amounts in merchandising and licensing fees.

It's a money move, and they will sure make a lot.

How about the fact that the first Cars movie was one of the 50 highest grossing US films of all-time and, as mentioned above, makes merchandising money better than arguably any other Pixar film.

This reminds me of a trivia question that someone threw at me the other day. Of the 50 highest grossing US films of all-time, only 8 of them are either a) not Disney films or b) not part of a series of films (either the movie has sequels, or has upcoming sequels, or the movie is a sequel itself)

That sounds like one of those crazy stats thrown out during a blowout football game. 'So and so leads the league in plays to the left side of over 20 yards in the 3rd quarter when they lead by at least 15 points'.

I counted and got 10:

- Titanic
- E.T.
- The Da Vinci Code
- Transformers
- Forrest Gump
- The Passion of the Christ
- War of the Worlds
- I Am Legend
- King Kong
- The Day After Tomorrow

The list I used is from Wikipedia and is NOT adjusted for inflation.

For what it's worth, they are already filming Transformers 2. Megan Fox and Michael Bay stated this at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend as they picked up their golden popcorn for best movie for Transformers.

What kind of ride do you think they would do for it, if they did an Incredibles? I know there has been some rumour of a family dark-rollercoaster, and it seems that would be an easier concept to do with Cars.

Arguably, King Kong is not only a remake of the original, but part of the Kong series of films.

While I don't see DCA's mega Radiator Springs Rally attraction, something smaller like either of the smaller Cars rides in Carsland or the one in WDSP come to DHS- remember, not everything is going to be a rollercoaster or big attraction.

the da vinci code sequel has been in production for quite some time.

war of the worlds is a remake, i am legend is a remake, king kong is a remake.

Cars would make alot of sense, but im kinda hoping for some sort of indoor coaster. I really like the idea of the Monsters Inc doors scene being transformed to a coaster but I think the rumors on this one have died down quite a bit. They might not have been rumors actually, just wishful thinking:)

I too would love an incredibles coaster. Lots of potential there.

As for a Cars attraction, I am shocked that Disney has not refurbished Indy Raceway in the Magic Kingdom into a Cars theme.

The last I heard, from a CM in management this past weekend was that it may be a Monsters Inc. coaster. Take that for what it's worth - rumor and/or conjecture. Disney seems to change their minds fairly frequently so I wouldn't trust any information until they actually make an announcement.

It's a conspiracy on the part of the cast members - spread as many rumors as possbile, drive the forum boards with speculation - my god, what will those devious demons think of next? :fork: :ROFLOL:

My comment was more of a "I wasn't fond of it" type statement with a pinch of "fewer sequels please". I honestly didn't realise it was that successful, I guess it's not such a big hit in the UK.
