Future World Finals Recount

Hey MSU,
Could we get a recount on the "Future World Voting Finals"? Last time I checked at around 9 pm cst, I had 13 votes and was in second place. I know I'm from FL and it's an easy mistake. :lol:

Yeah he won, but he listed the top three incorrectly. As we all know it's not about winning cause that's MSU's spot, it's all about who gets second. :lol:

I do question the folks that voted for the other four finalist in the semi-finals. I thought one of them would win, but it seems the folks that voted for them either didn't vote in the finals or they changed their vote.

I assumed by the vote in the semi's that the four leaders would get at least the same number of votes (as the semi's) at a minimum. But it didn't work out that way.

Ahhhhh i see the problem. I think where it says "Now Inc" announced as second place, it should probably say "Al Gore". :lol: j/k

As for your questioning of why people "changed" their votes, it isn't necessarily true that they did. It could very well be that they many of those that voted for me and others in the finals actually voted for wallpapers in the semis that didn't make it into the finals. Therefore, they had to choose a new wallpaper, because their favortie wasn't available.

I see that you had less votes in the finals, but it could be that some that voted for you in the semis didn't get the chance to vote in the finals.

So, as you can see, it's entirely possible that no one changed their vote.

I don´t think I voted in the semis -at least, I can´t remember- , but I did vote in the finals. :animwink:

Oh I agree with what you're saying. I just thought that the folks who voted for MKT, for example, in the semi's would have come back and voted for him in the finals. Basically giving him 12 votes right off the bat. That's why I was surprised that I came in second. I figured I would've had to beat his original 12 votes plus whatever he got on top of that in the finals.

It just goes to show you that it ain't over till it's over. Congratulations MSU on another fine victory. Now tell us how you're gonna top last years Halloween wallpaper. It was so good my wife is making me put it up this year until we see the new ones.

Here's another possibility. Someone votes for person A in semi # 1 and person B in semi # 2. The voter chooses A in the final, and B appears to have "lost" a vote.

or someone can just change their mind... within the human psyche, that is always a possible alternative.
