Fun weekend trip

This is my first post and first trip report....whoop! I'm not big on using abbreviations so this post looks bigger than actual size :ROFLOL:

We decieded last minute to head to Disney for a quick weekend trip. My sister and her 9 year old son and myself and 5 year old daughter headed out Friday afternoon for the 3 hour trek north to Disney. We called the reservation line on the way up and got 2 nights at the Contemporary in the tower..we were excited! We usually stay at the moderates but figured since we were going without the husbands we would go all out. We arrived at 3:00 and our room was ready. As we checked in we tried to make dinner reservations for any park, after several attempts that I knew would be turned down, I made one last request for the Sci Fi Dine In and there was an opening so we took it. We quickly checked out our room and we all agreed it was a good pick! We drove over to MGM and as we were pulling into the parking lot, the attendant stopped us gave us a magical moments certificate and two very cool tinkerbell pins...love it!! We then head straight to Tower of Terror where my daughter rode for the first time. She was very nervous but totally loved it. She's a big pin collector so our first purchase was the Tower pin. The wait said 30 min but it was maybe 10 at the most. We split up for a bit so my sister and her son could ride RnRc, the wait was 70 min so we went shopping and then found an ice cream cart. My daughter knows that when on vacation she can always get dessert before and after dinner, she twisted my arm and I got one too! We then met up at Sci Fi for our dinner. We were sat with just a 10 minute wait. I havent been there since they changed their menu which was now much smaller, but we ordered the cheese dip app and some wine right away. Our drinks and app came very quick and we both ordered the Penne with shrimp. It was pretty good, little to much garlic, but still good. We rode the GMR and then deceided to head back to the hotel so we would be sure to get up early the next day for MK.

June 30, Sat MK
I got up around 6:45 and went down to the food and fun center and brought back breakfast to the room for everyone. We all managed to eat and get ready and head out the door by 8:25. We waited maybe 10 minutes for the monorail and we made it to MK just before opening. We went straight to Thunder Mountain and were in the first train. We shot over to Splash and walked onto that as well. We hardly got wet at all which I was very glad since it was so early in the day. We circled around past the boarded up HM....we all stopped for a moment of silence. ok then we were off to Peter Pans flight which was also a walk on. I usually don't go in the summer becuase of the lines and the heat but so far so good. Everyone stopped complaining that I woke them up so early. Next was Pooh, then we were off to get fast passes for SM for my sis and her son. It wasnt even 10:00 yet! We got the fast passes and noticed that line was posted 40 minutes and it looked like it really was, so we rode Buzz which said 40 minutes but was like 1 minute. I got my highest score yet 49,000, I usually never pass 5000 so I was pretty psyched, noone else was as impressed as I was though..hhmph!

Now off to my daughters favorite ride, Goofys Barnstormer, this turned out to be the best thing we did on our trip becuase as we were exiting, there was a cm handing out what looked like to be some type of cool lanyards...whohoo...more magical moments for us! It turned out to be a dream fastpass! WHAT! I was so happy! I ran back and thanked the CM...so excited! The kids were very excited that they didnt have to keep up with my itninerary anymore...all hail the dream fast pass!!! So we now go to a couple of rides that we cant use our fast pass for, first Indy Speedway which had maybe a 10 minute wait, then over to the tea cups. It was just at 11:00 now so we went to lunch right there in tomorrowland. After lunch we used our first dream fast pass for Space Mountain. Since my daughter cant ride we took a spin on the people mover. I really wanted to ride Space so my nephew and I took our turn on that. The standby line was 50 minutes and looked really long. After we were leaving we handed off our paper fast passes that we had gotten earlier in the day to a young couple that were just about to get in the long standby line. They were very grateful and I felt I had paid back the Disney gods :p We headed for Main Street to get an ice cream cone and hit all the shops. We then chose to swing back by the hotel for a little swim in the pool. I went down the slide like 25 times, way to much fun :lookaroun Almost 4:00 now we change our clothes and try to get reservations for dinner, they had a 5:00 for Kona Cafe...perfect! We get there quite early and they take us anyway. We order 2 glasses of wine a piece right off the bat....happy hour...actually we were just trying to save the waitress a trip. Anywho, we order and eat our food very quick. Back to the MK to finish off all our fastpasses! The monorail had a big line and everyone was standing inside the monorail that pulled up. My daughter asked the cm if we could sit up front and he checked and sent us right up, shes a genius! Could our day be more perfect? I say no.......

Back at the MK we go to Jungle Cruise and use that FP, then over to Pirates and have a short wait maybe 15 minutes. Over to Thunder and Splash and use those fast passes. We then hit Small World, daughter sings the whoooole ride. oy. Back to Peter Pan and Pooh then more ice cream. We went to the Laugh Floor next, my first time, it was really cute. Rode Buzz and TTA again then found a good spot for wishes. whew I was tired, tomorrow we we're definately sleeping in.
