Fun Surprises

For this trip, my parents will be coming along with us, and I wanted to do something fun and surprising for them. I didn't really feel that Mickey t-shirts for the both of them would be extremely apropos to the situation, so I need ideas. What kinds of fun little extra things do you guys like to do that I could surprise my parents with? I was thinking something along the lines of booking the Fantasmic dinner show for all of us, but I'm eager to hear what you all come up with. Thanks in advance!

Another idea on a large scale as you mentioned can be a dinner show or something similar. I have personally never done it, but I've heard only wonderful things about Hoop Dee Doo. Maybe your family would enjoy that!

Over the last few years I have had several surprises arranged. I have used disneyflorist for various items. Always been worth the money. I have booked character breakfasts, back stage tours, got tickets for shows like Cirque and Blue Man.

Generally I like to plan, so get some input into likes and dislikes of those going and build a whole itinerary round that but keep it secret and unveil it a day at a time. I know my FIL loved the idea of just getting up and having his whole day mapped out and all he had to do was just enjoy the Disney experience

If you don't mind spending a bit, Gifts of a Lifetime have some great ideas. I had them do an EPCOT Amazing Race for my son one trip. Basically, it was a series of quests, each providing clues to the next, on successful completion we'd gone all the way around World Showcase and he got some nice prizes [that I'd prearranged with them.

Their pixies did a wonderful job of it.

I would suggest the Hoop De Doo dinner show at Fort Wilderness. Also, they have carriage rides at night at POR and I think, Fort Wilderness. Maybe a nice dinner in the World Showcase at one of the countries. If this is their first time there, the first park you go to get them a First Time button to wear. they will get lots of attention.....

I agree 100% !!! I have used them in the past. We suprised my parents by having them renew their wedding vows. Those pixies did an awesome job! :wave:

We've done an Illuminations Cruise, but I know that they have gotten a bit pricey. Also you could book a tour for them.
