Heck no, won't cover the specialist or probably the shots either. He's what you call 'alternative medicine', meaning you address things nutritionally as well as any medical intervention. And our insurance as a rule stinks. :shrug:
I was watching a report about medical insurance the othe day, and how they get away with not paying so often. They suggested that you fight it no matter what, and keep taking it up with the next one up the ladder, and even your legislators. I know when my dad had his brain tumor, we had to go to Boston for a CAT scan, (RI didn't have any), and then Blue Cross wouldn't pay for it because it was considered experimental back then. My mom finally had our state representative step in and finally got them to pay for it, but I remember it took a long time to resolve it all.

Unfortunately, mention the word 'autism' and you can forget it. Some states are trying to change that, but insurance companies are fighting tooth and nail. As far as their concerned, the only reliable 'treatment' is educational, so they're off the hook! :brick: :brick: :mad:
