I'm waiting for the 2008 rates, but KK has all my info. Elizabeth is making ADR's for me in about 5 days.

And I love your siggy - want to join Abby and me in January? :lookaroun
I'd love to, but after paying for 2 semesters of College by then, I'll be lucky to be able to afford to go to the back yard!

True! Don't have to think of that yet. I'm really hoping Abby rakes in the scholarships. I hope I can work and save for her education when Joel's a little older, but I really can't think about it right now. And I hope I can save for Joel's too. :o

DD did well in that department - we didn't have to pay anything for the last 3 semesters, but she does have about $16,000 in loans to pay off. DS is as bright as her, but no where near as ambitious, so he didn't appy for a lot of the stuff that she did. And his school is twice as expensive.....That plus the fact that we now own 1/3 of MIL's house so the federal government thinks that we're independently wealthy means that we're paying through the nose for the next 4 years.....

The formulas make no sense to me - my dad never made more than 40-45,000 a year his entire working life, but the only thing we qualified for was loans and the work-study program. I'm not even wasting my time with Abby, I already know what they'll say. They don't take real life into the equation.

Oh, I need to brag for a minute. My boy let me read three stories in a row yesterday to him! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: That meant so much, I can't tell you!

The thing is you really have to fill out a FAFSA anyway, then they'll tell you what they think you can afford. They don't take debt into account at all....

Yay for Joel! I know what a big step that is!!!!
