Full Size Crib Rental

We are heading to WDW in a week and taking our 9 mo old son. We have stayed in hotels before and used a Pack n Play crib for him to sleep in. He is able to sleep in them but not as well as a real crib. So having a real crib during a very busy Disney trip would help us and him tremendously. We located a place called Baby's Away that rents baby needs to travelers such as cribs, car seats, etc. But the Orlando location doesn't seem to be open any more as our phone calls have gone unreturned for 2 weeks. Does anyone else know of any other place else that rents and delivers cribs to your hotel room in the Orlando area? FYI we are staying at Pop Century. Thanks

Although this thread is old and will not help the OP, I thought I would offer the following for others who might have the same situation.

Our son is now 2 and no longer sleeps in a crib (at home) or pack and play on vacation, however he did visit the world 6 times before he was 2 and we did use a pack and play. We drive so we took our own I guess because I am a germaphobe.

Anyway, I found a Pack and Play Matress at Babies R Us. It is about 2 inches thick and fits inside the pack and play. Our son had no problem at all with sleeping through the night once I found this Matress. (Actually I found it while in Orlando at the Babies R Us on OBT, but they have them at our local store too).

I hope that helps.

All Disney Resorts offer Pack-n-Play style cribs only. If you would like a full size crib, (or other child care equipment) I would suggest contacting All About Kids at 407-812-9300. This is a non-Disney company, but has been verified by Walt Disney World to be reparable. Items available to rent include:

Car safety seats
Booster seats
Strollers
Full size cribs
Bedrails
Playpens
Walkers
Highchairs
Bouncers (for infants)
Swings
Safety gates

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Has this changed recently? The last time we stayed at the GF (2 years ago) and the last time we stayed at the BC (less than a year ago) they had actuall cribs with a matress that fold up.

EDIT: Just now realized the date of the first post. Sorry for being unobservant.

Just as FYI to anyone who is looking for their baby or toddler to sleep a little better.

Check this out. We recently bought one and it's been great!

I couldn't find the actual one we bought. We bought the $25.99 one....seemed a little thicker to us.

It's just another mattress that you put in their pack and play. They will sleep so much better on it. Any standard pack and play sheet will fit it. We bought a quilted one to add even more padding. It says to take out the other pad that came with the pack and play, but we just put the new one right on top of the old one for added padding. We bought it just before we went away for the week last week and he slept soooo much better! He'll be 2 next month and still uses the pack and play and this was the first time he slept til 9-9:30 in it. (he usually sleeps that at home anyway, but before the pad he'd end up sleeping with us or up at 5 or 6 for good). I know they didn't have these a while ago...I was looking and babies r us is saying these are new.

Hope this helps someone else!
