Hello! - For the new Frozen ride, are they using the same ride system that was Maelstrom and just replacing the show or have they pretty much leveled it and started with a whole new attraction/ride system? I'm going in Oct. and I'm sure this will compete with Test Track and Soarin' for wait times, eh?

It will have way higher wait times than probably any ride before. You are right, they are using the same ride system as Maelstrom, which has an insanely low capacity.

And I don't think that queue was very large either.... Seems like folks will be lined up outside the Pavilion for a mile.

The old queue area has been converted into a show scene for the new ride and the flume path has been changed there to go through a winding S-curve through this new scene. Load and unload will both happen in the same place now, in the old unload area. The new queue will partially go through the old theater facility.

Not to say that people won't still be lined up outside, though. There's no way an attraction like Maelstrom could handle the crowds that are initially going to descend upon Frozen Ever After.

isn't this what we should expect for any new Disney ride? wait till star wars and toy story lands open it will have huge wait times. I dont care about wait times as long as its worth waiting for.

Oh! Interesting. Good info, thanks. I loved the Maelstrom unload area. Was very well themed. And it makes total sense to utilize that theater space. I'll be very interested in seeing this. I hope I can. But my kids are a little older so there won't be any tantrums or tears if we can't see Anna & Elsa on this trip.
