Frozen is Thawing?

I feel awful for every parent that has had to listen to Let It Go as much as they've had to.
I consider myself fortunate because I enjoy the music and "LIG" in particular, so it's not so much a chore. Try listening to "My Heart Will Go On" 2-3 times a day for 6 months and you will get a glimpse into Hell itself.

@raven24 I am wondering... Do you hate "Let it Go" itself? I rather enjoy the Idina Menzal version, but Demi Lovato drives me up the wall. Same song, two different singers. One I find enjoyable, the other makes me want to cut off my ears.
I still don't understand how she's still being pushed over. Has no range, bellows everything out, only is on-key through use of an autotune. Clearest example of an "actor" (I use that word sparingly) who can "sing" (ditto) being masqueraded as a pop star.

I only have a son, and he never got drawn into the whole Frozen craze, so you can scratch mommy and myself off the list of parents who want to dislocate their ears every time Let It Go is heard. The only film in recent years he's really gone head over heels for is TS3, and I'm right there with him in that fan boat. :)
My son's was Monsters Inc. The DVD's lamination literally separated from so many viewings. What's ironic, now at 9, he doesn't remember his toddler years and didn't remember seeing it at all when Monsters University came out last year.

Do your eyes glaze over and headache begin to rise with the right couple of bars played on a flute?

Yeah, it's a psychosomatic response. I was a projectionist at a theater when "Titanic" came out. So many negative memories tied to that movie and that song, chief among them cleaning the auditorium in a "Groundhog Day"-like stupor from Dec-May.

Frozen is not that bad. Really.

There are much worse things in the world. Calliou comes to mind. :banghead:

We were out to dinner tonight and my middle son who's 4 stood up and started singing Let It Go pretty loud. The funny thing is, we haven't watched the movie in awhile or listen to the sound track. So I was kinda agreeing about Frozen thawing here abit. Yes, we did see Elsa & Anna at the meet & greet about a week ago but it was fast and he didn't really mention it after.

I'm curious to hear why so many hate something just becuase it's popular?

I saw Frozen once each in theatres and on video because I liked it. After I saw the movie, I moved on to doing something else. I didn't rant and rave about other people spending their time and money to enjoy it more. If I'm going to do that, it has to be over something truely awful, not a decent Disney animated feature.

And by the way, how some of you feel about Frozen is how some of us have ALWAYS felt about Lion King. Welcome to the club of unpopular Disney opinions.
It might be the fact that their children like to watch it over and over again. My grandchildren are like that. If there is something they like, we may watch it a lot when they are over. Of course, our grandchildren are between 4 and 6.

With today's announcement of the extended hours of the Anna and Elsa meet and greet, I would hope that's one step forward in helping the Frozen craze die down a bit because I'm sure people are sick and tired of hearing and seeing those 5-6 hour wait times in standby lines being reported almost every day in the past. Now, once the merchandise fiasco gets sorted out so that it's not Black Friday almost every day and the coronation event takes place, (Yes, people, that has yet to come.) maybe then we can put closure on the Frozen hype once and for all.
