I've never heard him say anything about DVC specifically. Do you have a citation, or are you assuming this?
Actions speak louder than words (because he's never come out and actually said anything about DVC, as far as I know). See: DVC conversion of deluxe resort rooms at Poly, GF, Wilderness Lodge, BLT's and Riviera's construction. Plus... the Fort Wilderness Cabins. 🤦‍♂️

The actual built design is fine, the fireplace is lovely. It’s the furniture. Whoever decided on that… it’s a choice.

I get they want it be comfy for members to relax, but wish they could have custom made some comfy, but themed furniture.

It’d be a lot cooler if it was Hollywood-style lounge/bar fight breakaway furniture and stuff…!!!!! :hilarious:

Yes. That was the whole point of my post in response to someone who said...

Bob has made it clear....

Where has Bob made it clear that *DVCs* are important to him or his plans?

Claiming that he claimed that specific concern is akin to an AI's hallucination.

I would think the last 20 years paints a good picture…

Rack: the second half of mothballed pop century and one tower to serve conventions specifically

Timeshare:
10 projects…only 2 new construction…the rest conversion

And I’m not counting Saratoga…the evil Frankenstein monster example of this trend

Math is hard

Legit looks like a Cracker Barrel. I guess that’s the level of “immersion” we should get used to nowadays.

But at least Cracker Barrel has tables and chairs that fit the theme. Those chairs that have a stubby back look very uncomfortable. I could see someone leaning back, used to having a full back to the chair and keep on going backwards.... Has Legal inspected this setup yet? This is lawsuits waiting to happen.

I think your definition of "New" construction is a bit loose. Bay Lake was new construction in my opinion.

Probably not firmly in either category. It was a tear down of 250 rooms , with a new tower with 295 substantially larger rooms.
My point was that they took out existing rooms to do timeshares…the size of the room is irrelevant from a business perspective

Only two dvc “additions” were actually additions of overall inventory

Kidani and the grand Floridian dvc building

All others took other rooms - that they didn’t have demand to sell - out of play.

And I say this as I’m in the Iobby waiting for my room in “copper creek villas”

Also know as: “half wilderness lodge they couldn’t sell after they blew the prices to smithereens”

DVC is the worst branch of Disney, it amazes me how they can create such a beautiful interior but furnish it so horribly.
