This version should be a little clearer:

Hopefully there's more room for seating then we're seeing here!

"children's entertainment area." I guess similar to EPCOT lounge and resort lobbies with a TV and some chairs.

"Charging cords available upon request on a first-come, first-served basis." This is new DVC, to my knowledge. Presumably spots to plug cords into? Curious how long that lasts before stolen cords are a cost center and this goes away.

No mention of a restroom, although that was never realistically expected.

While hours have not posted yet we should expect similar to new 2025 EPCOT lounge hours in which the last few hours are reserved for only Membership Magic Beyond people (those paying into the new upcharge benefit program) in what DVC will call "extended hours." At EPCOT extended hours will be from 6-9 after the lounge regular hours at 5 for all direct members regardless of Magic Beyond status.

Looks fine. A nice little shooting arcade cabinet would nice as a functional fun reference to the past.

But still, not a fan of removing spaces open to everyone to cater to the ‘elite’ shall we say, though if I was a member then of course my opinion would be different but I am not and probably never will be.

As a DVC member I would just like to say I would rather have something in this space that everyone can use and enjoy.

These are not the type of benefits that are going to drive DVC sales so whats the point of taking away real estate from most visitors in the busiest theme park on earth ?

All the lounges have spots to plug into (Epcot has them in the tables and in the walls) and they have chargers you can borrow.

These actually drive DVC sales and they've also added an upcharge to DVC membership to get priority access on the waitlist, so it is now a very big profit center.

Wait, the DVC members will have to pay a charge to get on a waitlist line to go in? and seriously how long before there is a priority toilet access in the restrooms... You can wait to go poo, or for just $29.95/day with park admission, you can have priority toilet access... At this point we should see that enacted by the time the new Carsland Autoparts Mtn area opens.

Apparently it's just extended hours now, it was worded like it was priority access on the waitlist when it was first announced, unless there are 2 things now.

Your entire second paragraph is based upon data you invented in your head.

Suffice to say, they are building these lounges because they are marketable when making new sales.

If a lounge drives you to buy DVC, you have the IQ of a thimble. Not sorry, not apologizing. That is flat out stupid, if true.
Pretty dumb to assume it's only the lounge, but I mean you also get to be part of DVC, it's just a nice to have benefit to encourage sales, not just be the sole reason, not sure why how someone spends their money reflects their intelligence. They just have different priorities than you.

I also might add that A LOT of people would, wrongly, question the intelligence of people who make yearly pilgrimages to one spot in Florida instead of spending money to go other places.

If I have to explain it, you aren't paying attention.

We own 2 DVC contracts. A lounge in a park is the last thing I'd give two ****s about when looking to drop $30,000. But intelligence seems to be dwindling as the years go by and stupidity (and celebrating stupidity) on the rise.

No, but perks matter. It's like we say on hotel threads all the times. Does Magic Express make or break for most? Probably not. But if you add that with a bunch of other things, then maybe it does. Will a lounge make or break the purchase? Not a chance. But if you are on the fence, it could be a push in the direction of "Disney really care for and look out for contract holders." Or, could it increase satisfaction for current DVC so they push friends a little more? I have no idea (I'm very far from that demo), but lets face facts, this is an addition that is not generating revenue any other way than bringing in more DVC sales/point sales. I have a tough time thinking Disney is doing it just out of the goodness of their hearts to make DVC feel a little more special without any thought that it's going to increase the bottom line.

I don’t know about you, but I love being shown places that I’m not allowed to go at Disney.
Why make this a DVC exclusive? Can’t they just get more magnets, and keep the lounges open to all?
