What is the hoedown and Main Street Trolley show? We have been there most years (in the summer) and never heard of it and would love the kids to see it? Also any idea what days/times it is held?
Thanks
I'm not MKT, but I can be of some assisstance.
The Frontierland Hoedown is a small parade-like interactive show featuring many dance couples and the Country Bear walk-around characters. The dancers invite guests onto the street to participate in a square dance and later in a line dance.
They enter and exit near Splash Mountain.
The Hoedown takes place in the streets of Frontierland outside the Country Bear Jamboree, Prarie Outpost & Supply and Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn & Cafe.
I heard from MKT that more characters might be added to the Hoedown this year.
The Main Street Trolley Show takes place on Main Street every morning.
It starts at the top of Main Street, near the Tip Board. It features 8 to 12 dancers, who sing and dance alongside one of the horse-drawn trolleys for a few minutes, then hop aboard the trolley and ride it down the street, stop and get off at another point along the street and do the same song and dance routines again. They continue this until they reach Town Square, where the dancers get off the trolley for the last time and exit near the Main Street Gallery.
Those 2 shows are small, yet wonderful and very entertaining. I highly recommend seeing them and I hope that you'll get to see them when you come down to WDW.
